I will highlight the positives & the negatives. Then you decide.

Positives: a) Location - right next to the railway station& a bank is opposite the hotel if you need an ATM. The tourist office is next door & the town centre is approx. a 10 minute walk. The hotel is close to the lake & with the right room you can have a nice view. b) Hotel staff - they were very helpful & courteous. They organized outings for you if needed. No complaints there. c) Breakfast - the buffett was well-stocked, but sometimes they had smoked salmon, sometimes they didn't d) the hotel granted me free car parking for the 3 nights I stayed there for the room they allocated me

Negatives: a) Room allocation - they are keen to accommodate single room occupiers (this is what a hotel receptionist told me) in rooms right under the roof with ro real view & pretty much away from the lake. This disappointed me very much given that I had booked my room well in advance & paid €139 B&B per night.
b) Room - 1. the room got hot & stuffy really quickly. The A/C didn't seem to make any difference & it was loud 2. they ask you to leave the attic window closed so that bugs cannot enter the room. I had to ignore this request because the air was stifling to me 3. the elevator does not go up to the 5th floor. You must get off at the 4th floor & walk up the stairs to the 5th. This was suboptimal 4. The hotel bathhroom is hardly equipped with any toiletries. Just some shower gel cum shampoo. No ledge in shower booth to place your own toiletries on.
d) Location - owing to the proximity to the railway station, at night it got quite loud indeed. e) Underground car park - very narrow & thereby challenging. What also doesn't help is the relatively loud woeful music from the loudspeakers down there.

Room tip: Book a double-room. They generally have balconies & better views.

Wasn't sure if it will meet my expectation or I will get disappointed, but the opposite happened when so far it beats my expectation. Friendly night staff with warm smile welcoming, decent room, great room located on the 3rd floor in front of the Bodensee lake port. Only two things missing there is no electronic hot water pot and the balcony was full of spiders and spiders net.

Good, clean hotel with very good loaction.
We vere there at the Festifal time so room price was very high and i think that normal time it is little bit reasonable. But in the Bondensee area is more hihg price that other areas. Room was big and clean. Hotel staff was nice and breakfast was very good.
If I come back to Friedrichahafen, I definitely come back this hotel.

We have calculated that we have stayed at this hotel over 11 years about 15 times, both in the height of summer and in winter.

We enjoy it's location which is by the station but also a short walk through a lovely park to the shores of the lake and a ten minute walk from the centre of town.

We have stayed in a variety of rooms, the best at the front of the hotel with a balcony overlooking the lake but these are in short supply. There are large rooms in the roof space and other rooms in other floors are spacious. Do ask for a lake view if you can.

The breakfast buffet can be busy but offers a varied range of choice, good coffee and good service. The bar area whilst located just off the main reception is a good place to have a taste of the excellent local wines at the end of the evening.

It's clear the hotel caters for the business traveller and large parties visiting the region as well as independent travellers.

Air con is reliable even in the hottest weather, secure underground car park and free wifi throughout the hotel.

We would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The SEEhotel was a wonderful stop over for a few days to shop and take in the views and atmosphere of the area. It was nicely locatedwith great boutique shopping and restaurants with in walking distance. WiFi was excellent and free.
