Great location for ski in ski out

Review of Hotel Alp'azur
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 23 Feb 2018via mobile
Friendly, clean, perfect location and very reasonable prices.

Breakfast everything it should be. Easy to deal with ski gear- decent boot room.

Ski hire place below hotel gives very decent discount if you are staying at the hotel.

Nice atmosphere and near to restaurants and shops.

Highly recommend!

We stayed at Alp'azur the first week of April. Patrick was a great host, his English is limited but my French is non existent. We managed fine!

Great location close to lifts to ski field. Breakfast fine! It is continental with eggs offered, fresh croissants, bread, cereals, yogurts, fruit, juices etc. More than sufficient to set you up for the day. We had room 22 which was two bedrooms for our family. Plenty of space but also used the lovely reception area and verandah outside. Patrick and his staff were happy to offer a coffee in the afternoon while we relaxed. Thank you Patrick, an enjoyable stay.

The is hotel was perfect for our trip. Fantastic location, right opposite the lift to take you to the main lift area and short walk to the centre of everywhere!

We travelled with our dog and the hotel could not have been more accommodating, Patrick even walked him for us when we were out all day and the cleaning staff were brilliant with him.

Rooms are cosy and maintained nicely, the cleaners do a good job! There is also free wifi which works really well in the rooms which makes a nice change from a lot of hotels.

Breakfast is perfect for what we needed, croissants, cereal eggs and very good coffee!

All in all a wonderful, friendly and happy place to stay. Would highly recommend.

The owner of this hotel (Patrick) is lovely and really made our holiday. He even took our dog for a walk when we were going to be out at the Follie Douce for apres. He gave us great restaurant recommendations and rang for us when we needed a booking.

The hotel is in a great location, close to restaurants, the lift station and the piste. The basic rooms are as you'd expect in France, small but perfectly adequate; the superior with balcony looked great when I saw in one due to it being cleaned but these were all taken. The shower is powerful and hot.

Breakfast is continental but there is an egg machine for you to soft or hard boil eggs. The hotel smells of fresh croissants every morning which is divine. We stayed for 8 days and didn't get bored of breakfast at all.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, the staff and the location.

Great location with friendly staff. Rooms are small and functional (which is what you expect in France unless you are shopping in a different price bracket!)

Perfect location for a long weekend for skiing, eating and shops

Teeniest rooms ever. Only room for a bed and a wardrobe that you could only get to by sidling along the bed. The rooms seemed really dark and I've no idea how skiers get on with all their padded kit in this room. It was genuinely barely big enough for one person. Breakfast was just enough, bread, cheese, cereal and croissants. We booked through booking.com and it was way cheaper than what they were charging at the hotel. We'd have been really unhappy to pay the going rate!
Also Alpe d'Huez in the summer? Are we missing something? It's DEAD and nowhere was open. Go to Les Gets instead!
