For this price and an excessive extra for 2 small dogs would not recommend. Reminds of a run down US motel. Reception staff not very friendly. Restaurant ok food and nice attentive waiter. Not coming back.

I have stayed here previously & keep coming back.

The rooms are comfortable & clean. The bathroom was showing it’s age but had loads if hot water and was functional.

There is a tv within the room, currently no English channels (there has been in previous visits).

WiFi is okay & received. In my room.

Breakfasts are worth having & very good.

The restaurant is very good for evening meals & view for the sea front. Good service throughout my stay.

A short drive to the port & eurotunnel.

Would I come again? Yes

Recommend to others? Yes

Only 40 Euros and only 7 minutes along beachfront returning to Ferry port in morning.
Albeit need a good Satnav at night as twisting & turning through streets/houses from town centre to reach it.
However, food real value for money. would definitely stay again.
Rooms like USA motels - basic but very clean, quiet albeit dog tired on last leg of 4,000 mile drive - comfortable & very busy -need to book mid afternoon even in off-season as very popular with travellers & business people.

Room tip: Leave it to reception - all in a Motel type block

We finally got to calais after a 13 hour snow delayed trip from the alps with Kent virtually closed we decided to overnight in Calais
The rooms are not great but warm and good value with better than average bathrooms.
Once settled into the hotel we went for dinner in the restaurant. Excellent service and a great steak for a reasonable price.
The rooms are not well soundproofed but we were so tired we hardly noticed. Cheap average French breakfast.
If you want cheap accommodation in Calais with family rooms and good food I recommend this hotel

The rooms are basic but not clean. Mould round the bath and the walls were disgusting. Sadly food in restaurant was good but we won't be visiting again. The strong smell of bleach on arrival didn't bode well. Price was low but no excuse for the lack of cleanliness. Bed was lumpy and springs dug in. All in all not great not even good.
