I stayed here with my family as we had an early Eurotunnel time for the next day. When we walked in, it looked like some kind of leisure centre. There was a pool table in the entrance and lots of kids play areas. Our room was in another part of the hotel so we walked through the car park to the other side. The décor in the hotel is awful. It looks cheap with pictures of people jumping in pools. The bathroom needs updating and I don't know why they feel it's necessary to lock the shampoo/shower gel/handwash onto the wall. There was loud music outside in the club/bar across the road until approximately 2 or 3 am. I won't be staying here again.
Thank you for sharing your feedback further your stay with us.
We would like to apologize you were not satisfied with the room decor and the facilities offered. It is with deep regret that we fell below your expectations. We work very hard to ensure our facilities and guest services. For that reason, your comments are troubling and will certainly be looked into. Thank you for staying and we hope you give us another chance to make your stay as best as it can be.
Spent 3 nights here, rooms are average sized and just about clean. Judging by its location do not expect any great views from the rooms. Breakfast I must admit was beyond disappointing, they have a selection of yoghurt, fruits, croissants, ham, cheese, hard bread and hard boiled eggs that you have to stick in the boiling water yourself and either stand and wait for it to boil or sit down and risk it being picked up by someone else who wants to eat (on the first morning there they didn’t have any eggs because their ‘boiling’ machine was broke). Cleaning service was also average, new towels also had some stains and don’t expect spotless bedsheets. This place isn’t cheaply priced either, for the price paid you’d expect a decent 3-star service to say the least. Positive is that it’s centrally located and most places of interest are walking distance...the so-called free parking is not secured but street parking near the hotel which could be 5-10 mins walk from the hotel. If you want to use the hotel parking facilities be prepared to pay about €15 euros. For a coastal city it was surprisingly difficult to find a restaurant with fresh/quality seafood.
Stopped here on our drive home. Really quirky place with funky seating and a games area to chill out in. We had a room on the 4th floor, lift only goes to the 3rd floor then a short walk up a flight of stairs to get to the rooms. Room was really spacious with two doubles and a single bed, still lots of space, room did not feel cramped in anyway. Bar is nice although did not stock all spirits when we visited. Breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from. We did not manage to get parking in the hotel but there is free parking in a nearby sqaure. Great stay.
Hotel is close to lots of restaurants and sites so an ideal place to stay if you want to explore. They seem to e investing a lot in the seafront so worth a walk to the front to see the developments and the sandy beach.
