If you visit the town you can visit also this museum. It is not something extraordinary but is very interesting to see where a rich person was living at the time. It is a simple exposition of the house with its furniture. The visit will take not more than 30 minutes but oyu can travel in the past.

Nice old building but you only need about 10 mins to see the whole thing for the same price as a visit to the Abbey!

It's an ok museum, it's not massive or anything. It definitely does look old and in keeping with that period of time. It's nice to look around abit and you might aswel go when you're there but do be aware, yes under 18s are free but you can't get in unless you're with someone over 18. I also think they should do abit of restoration work on the rooms, the walls and wallpaper are deteriorating abit.

This was our first stop on the island, I really wanted to see the dungeons that consisted of a few cells, it was pretty good they had plaques that spoke about some of the more famous prisoners on the island, and the straw art that the prisoners made was pretty spectacular. The beginning part of the museum was neat as you got to imagine what it would be like to live in that house. The private garden at the top was a nice surprise and the view is spectacular. If you do go to all of the museums when you are finished with the first part it empties you out back onto a little back alley which you then need to climb some steps and go left to the beginning of the next museum where you will show another attendant your tickets. The price was a bit steep as I only really wanted to see the dungeons but there is a bunch of things to look at if you want to, like a room full of weapons. So if you were to actually spend the time on all the museums the ticket cost might be worth it. But I did enjoy the little house, the dungeon and the view.

Very disappointed with this museum. Not enough information explaining what's on display, I personally did not find the collections interesting. It took us a mere 10 minutes to go through the three floors and then it left us wondering why the tickets cost this much! My advice to all fellow tourists: Don't go --- save your money.
