Description: Le Chatillon restaurant in the heart of Boulogne’s Capecure attracts everyone in town for the freshest of fish and great atmosphere. The bubbling ground floor dining room will remind you of the interior of an antique fishing vessel with wooden bar, pictures of old Boulogne and copper detailing, while the first floor space is more serene, though prices go up a notch too. M. Baude was a fish dealer in a past incarnation, so he only serves the highest quality fish and crustaceans. This atmospheric restaurant gives the true flavour of the old fishing port.

Located in the industrial port, Le Chatillon is found walking past a mile of Findus lorries loading up with fish, amidst a massive and very loud war fought by the seagulls. But, when you get there, it's really worth it. A party of 10, not having booked, including 3 babies in pushchair, we were immediately made welcome and seated. The food was impeccably nice: scallops in saffron, butter-fried sole and tuna tartar. Desserts also: rhum baba was wonderfully OTT with the rum! Recommend.

Visited yesterday after a poor experience else where, close by.
We were very pleasantly surprised after reading some reviews on here.
The place did not disappoint,it had great atmosphere, and the staff were amazingly helpful.
Great locals bar and restaurant, excellent loos, and easy to find.
Had drinks and food at the bar, both reasonably priced and good quality.
A lovely find, after a disastrously poor attempt at lunch earlier....

Very busy, very quick, very good.
Service is good, food is fresh and tasty. Not sure you could ask for more if you like seafood.
They're more then comfortable if you have children. Plenty of parking near by.

The tranquil and tastefully decorated upstairs restaurant is just right for enjoying the wide-ranging 23euro table d’hôte fish menu. Great thing is that the clientele are almost 100 percent French. Mains of fish nuggets or skate wing went down nicely with a sensibly-priced bottle of Muscadet. Starters and desserts were equally acceptable. Friendly staff gave swift and professional service, which you don’t find everywhere in France.
Necessary to book, as it is obviously very popular.
Don’t be put off by the fact that it’s in Boulogne port’s industrial zone. It’s what’s inside that counts.
