The lovingly restored farmhouse features two good-sized bedrooms upstairs and a spacious kitchen-diner downstairs. The star of the show is arguably the exterior - a lovely garden with plenty of seating, a fantastic swimming pool, and an additional garden kitchen with a bbq and pizza oven. Thanks to the hot weather this is where we spent the vast majority of our time.
Sofia and her parents are on hand and were kind and very willing to help with anything.
The house is in a hamlet callad Pantano about 10 minutes away from the main road passing through Omignano Scalo (a little tricky to find the first time). There are small shops in the nearest villages and a very good 'small town' supermarket (Deco) in Omignano Scalo with cheese and meat counters open in the morning and evening.
The Cilento area is unspoilt and relaxing. The Amalfi Coast and Pompei are a good two hours to the north and the driving is not for the faint of heart. Thankfully we could always get back to lovely Villa Angelina and enjoy the peace and quiet.
