Excellent location close to Volterra, San Gimignano, Florence and Siena. These places are all wonderful for sightseeing - really interesting with lots of historical buildings to see and visit. Superb restaurants. Great award winning gelaterias - an absolute must to visit!!
The villa is very luxurious with a swimming pool overlooking the hills. Very quiet and peaceful ideal if you just want to chill out for a day instead of sightseeing. Great amenities within the villa including chefs (upon request) who serve amazing food and really looked after us well. The bedrooms are all very spacious and comfortable and all en-suite.
We would certainly recommend this villa and would happily return.
We stayed at a beautiful #villasantanastasio last month and a fantastic time was had by all regardless of age: teenagers and their parents. The most luxurious villa furnished to the highest standards with an infinity pool that offers stunning views over Tuscan countryside. You may have your breakfasts/ lunches / dinners made for you by an Italian cook specially invited for the occasion and have it either al fresco or inside. Or you may opt to try your inner chef skills in the fully equipped kitchen and serve your creations in the adjacent dinning room. Not that you will be ever pressed to do cooking at home for the area boasts with variety of restaurants, cafes, pizzerias and frankly your only problem will be to choose one. I know, because we had! Luckily the villa owners have compiled an expensive list of "things to do & places to visit" so we were tipped to see the best places around. Siena, Pisa, Lucca and Florence are within driving distance with smaller but not less attractive villages along the way. One of the best places we have been too! Highly recommended.
First time we went to Italy midland saving big city-centers. Borgo Sant'Anastasio appeared to be a different planet with untouched nature, ubiquitous olive and grape fields and marble sky. Accommodated in the luxury villa, we felt maximum comfort staying in the Borgo. When we wanted some adventures, we departed to wineries, cheese production and small town pearls.
We fell in love with this place.
If you want to make a decision whether to stay in Sant' Anastasio or not, watch the movie 'Good Year'.
If you want to plunge into Italian lux, natural beauty and yourselves, rest in the Borgo.
By the way, it's just one hour to Firenze in case a night out is coveted.
