We were looking for a boat trip along the splendid Gargano coast between Vieste e Mattinata. Most day trips included a visit to the caves, certainly beautiful, but this requires small boats. The result is too many people crammed, jammed, in these large powerboats, under scorching sun, rather reminiscent of the terrible trips immigrant have to endure from Lybia to Lampedusa to escape wars and persecution. Then we found this very civilized option, a large motor/sailing boat (probably a caicco), with plenty of shade if you want it, gently floating down along the coast and stopping a few times for a refreshing swim in the best places. Clearly, the boat was too large for the caves, though it stopped near one and you could swim to it if you wanted it. A very pleasant lunch was included in the price. The captain (I presume he was) was very friendly. A very pleasant day trip, recommended
