We spent 4 nights at the hotel and dined in the maxi restaurant 3 times.
We have visited many Michelin stared restaurants throughout the world and rate this restaurant very high on that list.
The service was very professional and friendly, the food was very imaginative and as my wife as a vegetarian very flexible, fantastic wine selection , fabulous surroundings, i can honestly recommend you dine here.

Thank Anthony M

Simply the best.
The Michelin starred restaurant within Capo la Gala Hotel, 5 minute drive from charming town Vico Equense & less than 1 minute on foot from the sea. The tables -along the terrace with fantastic view or inside into nice room-take place depend of the weather. Is it possible to arrive without reservation. Great food-art, tasty. Great service. Great wine's choice.
Expensive-not less than 160 euro for couple. Is it here parking-on the upper part of the hotel. You need the key card for the elevator.
If you don't want to seat into the restaurant-it's possible to seat in the bar close to the sea. Salute!

The restaurant is everything one would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. Impeccable service, creatively prepared dishes, an unbelievably beautiful atmosphere and the price tag that goes with all of this. The chef surprise menu was a fair €90 for 4 courses and an extra €40 for wine accompaniment. My only complaint for the evening would be to mention the gate keeper who apparently screens incoming guests before allowing them to enter the premises. Upon parking the car, instead of being welcomed, I was asked several times for the name for the reservation to which he didn’t confirm nor personally welcome us, but looked us up and down as if to ascertain if we were lying or deserved to be accepted and shown the way into the inner realm. I found his manner to be unfriendly, condescending and snobby, not a fitting greeting to such an elegant establishment. On the way to the bar he complained about cheeky Italians trying to get down to the beach without having a reservation which I can totally imagine, but vetting still isn’t an appropriate greeting for a paying guest. I would unfortunately, actually hesitate to recommend this fabulous restaurant just based on the greeting alone at the gate as it still sits uneasily in my memories of the evening although everything else was perfect inside the restaurant. We also had problems leaving the restaurant as you need someone to operate the elevator to the parking with a key card so I guess once you’re in, you are expected to stay!

The setting is mesmerizing; most tables are laid out along the terrace with the most fantastic view of the water, rocks, and sky. The service is also fantastic and attentive. They were very accommodating to our dietary restrictions, and made some of the most delicious and creative dishes of our entire honeymoon. Would highly recommend!

This is the Michelin starred restaurant within the Hotel Capo La Gala. First impressions are good since the view from every table is breathtaking. Try arriving around sunset for spectacular views of the sun set across the ocean. The wine list is terrifying, it is pages and pages listing out 1792 different wines. We asked Nello for recommendations and he didn't disappoint. In places like this we normally try the tasting menu, but we werent feeling up to the challenge during our visit to Maxi. We opted instead to order al a carte. We enjoyed every minute of our time in Maxi. We ate the lobster ceaser salad, scallops with buratta, the risotto, the blackened sea bass and the sphere desert. All were delicious, very well thought out and executed flavor combinations. Several mous bouche and palate cleansers are served throughout the meal. Highly recommended.
