We stayed at Hotel Sporting for 5 nights in May and it was a lovely experience.
On arrival we were told that we had been upgraded from a sea view to a balcony room.
The view was beautiful and the room was spacious and spotlessly clean.
All of the staff that we dealt with were lovely and friendly.

The private beach was a real benefit and a lovely place to relax after sightseeing.
We ate in the restaurant on the beach once and out on the terrace one night. Both were lovely. The staff were brilliant with giving details on the menu along with wine recommendations.

Vico Equense is a lovely little town with a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. We were really pleased to get back there after travelling to other sights. It has a very friendly, laid-back vibe and it much less touristy that nearby Sorrento.

We would definitely recommend the town and hotel and will return in the future.

Room tip: The views are to die for. A sea view is a must and having a balcony to watch the sunset from was lovely!

We happened upon the terrace restaurant of this lovely hotel and decided to stay for a leisurely lunch. We chose a table in the shade overlooking the sea, and were greeted by the Maitre d'Hotel, Pepe, who looked after us beautifully. Starters of risotto, ravioli and local cured meats, cheese and grilled vegetables were accompanied by home made herbed breadsticks. The freshly caught fish was brought to the table for us to choose, and it did not disappoint in the flavour and in the refinement of the cooking. Desserts were a delightful surprise - a lemon that was not a lemon, an Apple that was not an apple, and the most sophisticated tiramisu we had ever encountered. We vowed to Pepe's wine suggestion, which was spot on. All in all, it was a great way to start the holiday, and we are going back for dinner on our last night! Can't recommend it highly enough.

I have just had the most wonderful lunch with two friends in the restaurant of the Hotel Sporting.
The food was extremely good and the service from the Maitre’d, Pepe and our waiter was second to none. The recommendations on the food and wine were perfect, and when we eventually decided to try desserts about an hour after our main meal, they were a joy to behold as well as to taste!
The setting on the terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples, would be hard to beat too.
We will be back! Thank you to Pepe, and all the staff involved.
