Description: "The best things are the simplest things. But at the same time the hardest things to do." Says Norbert Niederkofler and describes his cooking philosophy as simple, clear and clean. The Restaurant St. Hubertus, whose name stands for the patron of the hunters, was opened in 1996. At that time, the Pizzinini family decided to transform a small part of the then pizzeria into a tiny restaurant with Norbert Niederkofler as head chef. Now it’s a two Michelin star restaurant with nine tables in the dining room, one chef's table with a view to the kitchen and one cosy table at the open fireplace directed by the Maitre & Sommelier Christian Rainer. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: 2 Michelin Star (1 from 2000; 2 from 2007) Grandes Tables du Monde 91 worldwide for La Liste 3 Forks Gambero Rosso Guide 19/20 points Gault Millau 18,5/20 points L'Espresso Guide

This is certainly a destination restaurant, and it's Michelin stars are well earned and deserved! We had a delightful evening/dinner. Wonderful dining experience. Food, service, decor were not to be matched. If you are in this area, you will not want to miss this place.

We have visited Italy many times but we were awed by the service, friendliness and beauty of the establishment and the area. All of the staff were exceptional, friendly, and helpful.. It was also truly unexpected and appreciated to be greeted, sometimes multiple times a day, by Paolo Pizzinini's wife, Ursula.

We are already planning our next stay with these wonderful people.

The meal was served by shabby waiters and was of poor quality with international cuisine dishes and no local touch. The toilet didi not have anything to rinse.

In the two star Michelin category this was one of our favourites. From the start right to the end everything was just splendid. You can either go for the tasting menu or eat a la Carte (which we did). The dishes have the year indicated in which they were first cooked and for all the right reasons the tart tartin, for example, has been there for multiple years - simply stunning. You can choose from more international to more South Tyrolean dishes, so the choice is yours! The atmosphere was very comfortable and the staff was excellent. The Chef Norbert Niederkofler came out to say hi at the end of the night, which I think everyone thought was great.
I'd say the only not so nice thing would be the drive home if you are far away. If you are really lucky stay at Rosa Alaina then you are all sorted!

We eat at St Hubetus whilst staying at the Rosa Alpina hotel and enjoyed an absolutely superb meal. Service was relaxed but at the same time precise and wonderfully choreographed. We chose from the a la carte menu and all the courses were superb but my beetroot gnocchi dish was probably the highlight of the meal. The friendly sommelier recommended some great local wines to go with the courses. A great experience and the best meal of our visit to Italy.
