Hidden gem on the Amalfi Coast

The Hotel Piccolo Sant'Andrea is a beautiful hotel; nestled within the divine cliffs of the Amalfi Coast - with breathtaking views, top quality facilities and fantastic staff - we could not have asked for more on our three-night visit. Dilly and her team were accommodating to the last; always fast in replying to emails and flexible regarding our booking dates. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic holiday.

Heartless COVID Response

We booked a nonrefundable stay back before COVID. Unfortunately Americans are not allowed in Italy during the scheduled stay. I contacted the hotel as soon as my flight was cancelled and have spent several months following up on emails only to receive a response every few weeks that they were discussing with management. Every week was a promise of a response by the end of the week.

In the end all they are offering is an extension to rebook. Unfortunately I have no idea if or when that will be possible for me or any American. I recently lost my job and the $1,500 USD I paid for this hotel I am legally not allowed to visit would help me very much. But this hotel is uncommunicative and heartless.

A stay ruined by the owner

We had planned a fantastic stay at this hotel, only to be let down by the owner. This hotel has great potential and incredible views but it is let down significantly by the staff.

The owner was exceptionally pushy with a night they had planned at the hotel despite us explaining that we had made reservations at other restaurants that evening. Nonetheless, the owner still booked us in and when we explained again that we wouldn't be attending threatened to charge us a cancellation fee.

The owner had also offered us a birthday cake (as it was mine and my partner's birthdays during our stay) this offer was promptly removed after we said we would not be attending the event that evening.

There is also a distinct lack of service in the hotel - very few drinks are served by the pool and the hotel bar is often not attended. Staff are regularly nowhere to be seen. When we raised this as a review to the owner upon our departure, we were stared down.

Hotel rooms were dirty and we had to clean up bugs from the room.

Ideal for a romantic getaway, staff, location and facilities simply wonderful!!

This is a small, luxury hotel where you are made to feel very special from the moment you arrive. The team there were so attentive without being intrusive nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic amenities, indoor and outdoor pools, spa and gym equipment. Our room had an amazing sea view and was beautifully furnished and equipped.

The hotel is in between Positano and Praiano (15 min walk) on the Amalfi coast. The hotel run regular shuttles in to the villages as required so no problem getting around. The transfer from Naples was about 90 mins and while not too busy on our trip this could take a lot longer. Consider a water taxi from Naples to Positano as an alternative.

The hotel is a lovely place to hang out, lots of outdoor space, including a small pool perched on the cliff top.

We ate breakfast at the hotel and one evening meal which was spectacular. Tables were placed around the pool with a DJ who created a very sophisticated, chilled vibe for the evening.

We had a magical time, felt more like a visit to your best friends house than a hotel.

Room tip: The junior suite we booked was on the 1st floor with amazing views.

Heaven on earth - can’t WAIT to return!

Hard to put into words what a place this is. My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights as part of a 2 11 day trip working our way around the Amalfi Coast. Without a doubt, this hotel was a highlight.

From our warm welcome where we were given a delicious cocktail to enjoy on the breathtaking terrace whilst we checked in, to our AMAZING room (which they kindly upgraded because they noticed we were celebrating a birthday) - room was beautiful decorated, large, with a stunning balcony with outdoor shower.

We ordered room service one morning in our room (breakfast was to die for) and also had lunch around the pool as we sunbathed. The bar and cocktails was a particular highlight, the bartenders are true artists of their crafts and we took great joy in sampling our way through most of the menu during our stay!

The indoor pool was also lovely, we didn’t use the spa as we didn’t have time but Menu was varied. The shuttle to/from positano was excellent and was so easy to organise and very frequent.

I don’t have one single bad word to say about this place and we absolutely can’t wait to return again in the future!
