The fabulous small sea side town of Positano makes a great home base to explore the Amalfi coast and this villa was the perfect place to call home for the five nights we where there. It's location does require a lot of stairs but that's true for this entire cliff side town. Overall the villa is centrally located. Restaurants, small grocery stores, beach, paid parking all within a reasonable walking distance.
We found this villa to be quite spacious and absolutely loved the patio and the views it affords. Beds were comfortable and the 3 bathrooms modern, adequate hot water. The kitchen is small and had minimal pots, pans, etc to make dinner.
We had opted to rent a car, we drove from the Rome airport. Roberto arranged for paid parking in a garage that was a 10 minute walk from the villa. Parking on the Amalfi coast is not easy, be prepared to pay for parking (20€ per day).
Wifi signal was weak and really only worked in the living room. We only needed Wi-Fi for checking email, etc. it did not pose a significant problem (but my teenage kids might beg to differ).
We loved Posotano and look forward to returning some day.
Everything as advertised, and Roberto very helpful as a host.
It's about 400 steps up from the beach-side, or a 20 minute walk up the hill. Once you're there, the view is amazing, and a great selection of restaurants nearby if you're not fancying the walk down to the seafront.
The villa was lovely, I believe it used to belong to Roberto's grandparents, but has been done up nicely, with good bathrooms, showers and great air-con. Wi-Fi was not fantastic, but I think that's expected around Positano.
