If the weather would have been a little better, we would have ha a wonderful stay here, because the location is great. But the storm arrived a day early and even the friendly staff could not do anything about it. The breakfast was a bit minimal, but the cappuccino excellent.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 12 days this past summer and we both had a very wonderful experience. Everything was beautiful and clean. The staff was very professional as well as friendly. From the moment Federica checked us in until the moment we sadly had to check out the hospitality was perfect! Filippo the manager was always smiling and courteous. Federica at the front desk was always a pleasure. Although we usually weren't at the hotel for dinner, the breakfast at Life Hotel was fresh and very good with a lot of healthy choices. Alice was always a pleasure in the morning and made delicious cappuccino. Matteo, Alessandro and Georgio the bartenders were entertaining and fun! We are from the United States and don't speak Italian but most everyone at Life Hotel spoke English really well and there was no communication gap; this made us feel very at home. Franco, the night manager, became a familiar face when we would return late at night from dinner, always smiling to greet us. Even the maids were polite and happy.
This hotel is an excellent place to stay, positioned on the beach of the Adriatic Sea with gorgeous views of the Eastern Italian coastline, as well as an impressive view of Monte Conero to the north. We started our stay in room #107 which had a view of the colorful apartments next door. After a few days room #105 became available and we were moved. This room switch was planned before we got there and it could not have gone any smoother. The maid moved our bags for us after she cleaned because we were already out for the day. When we came back to the hotel later that evening and entered room #105 for the first time we were amazed at how beautiful the view was! The balcony of the room wrapped around the entire front of the hotel! It was so spacious and simply gorgeous to be able to sit out there and watch everyone on the beach and listen to the outside music from "Club Life" one floor down. Also an important to note; if you like hot tubs there is one on the roof that seemed to be a well kept secret because there was never anyone else up there. Grab your shorts and check it out!
Although this was a business trip for my boyfriend and he was gone a lot, for me it was a chance to gather artistic inspiration from the local culture and beauty. I am a painter and much of the inspiration that I absorbed was found in this hotel. As a matter of fact when I came home one of the first paintings I did was my impression of the Life Hotel. It's quite colorful... Full of "Life" one might say. I also took numerous pictures, some of which I am adding to this review.
I will always remember our stay at the Life Hotel and everyone who played a part in making it such an unforgettable experience. Hopefully some day we can return there and make another 12 days of great memories.... I believe you will love it there too! Remember to request room #105, #205 or #305 if you want the spacious balcony/sea view/ front of the hotel- but even without the view it is a really nice place to stay!

Very pleasant small modern hotel right on the sea front at the north end of Porto Recanati. It almost has its own beach! Very nice air conditioned rooms. Parking though, is not easy unless you pay for the hotel's own car park.

good three star not sure what the extra star is for.
Room 007 in the annexe is claustrophobic - no view as window is opaque. Bed ridiculously firm.
gym is tiny with no a/c therefore impossible to use.
very friendly and helpful staff.
good breakfast.

We stayed at the Life Hotel for a week at the end of June this week. We booked it because it seemed to offer good value, had a stylish interior, excellent location and had all the amenities we wanted.

Upon arrival we were very warmly greeted by the manager who did everything to make us feel welcome, he spoke good English (we found this to be quite rare in Porto Recanati!

We booked a Junior Suite which was a decent size room, not massive but with a little seating area, separate toilet and a shower. It also had a little balcony which looked out over some rather lovely pastel coloured flats and a courtyard. I would add you could also see the railway track but this wasn't really a problem for us as you could only see if you walked out of the balcony and looked right, you couldn't actually see it whilst in the room.

If you care about noise levels, then the room had a few issues, firstly, if you left the balcony windows open at nights the trains could be quite loud, fortunately for us it was so hot we kept the doors shut so the air con could do its work! The main issue we had with noise was on a couple of nights you could easily hear other guests stomping about in rooms above ours. It was quite loud and did affect our sleep. Now this only happened on one night out of 6 so it might have just been a loud guest!

Another family member stayed in a family room with sea views, I would definitely recommend staying in this room rather than the junior suite we had, the views were so much better and they had an amazing balcony!

Breakfast wise, there was a wide selection of about 7 different types of croissant! A selection of cake, tarts and biscuits. Also was some lovely fresh fruit, granola, yoghurts and off course the obligatory toast! Drinks came in the form of the most amazing coffee and the freshly squeezed juice, it really was brilliant, something to look forward to. If you want greasy full English breakfasts, you are in the wrong place, the breakfasts here are far more sophisticated than that!

The location was, well, perfect, it was at the end of the promenade of Porta Recanati and around 10 mins walk from the main town. You can walk to the beach in all of 30 seconds, the beach was very quite when we went, its not a dreamy sandy beach, but a bit more pebbly, lovely all the same. You get the most epic sunsets in the evening whilst sitting out in the little terrace outside the bar of the hotel.

All in all, we had a lovely time at the hotel, it had everything we wanted and more, we lovely sitting outside on the terrace listening to some music and sipping drinks in the sun. Thanks so much everything at the Life Hotel for making our stay what it was :)

Room Tip: I'd go for a sea view next time.
