My father fought in the Battle of Ortona and told many stories of it while he was alive, so it was a sobering time for me to realize more of what he had experienced. The museum has many details and pictures of the battle with chronological descriptions of the lead up to and the battle itself. Many artifacts have been donated to the museum, particularly by the Seaforth Highlanders. Anyone interested in the Second World War and in particular, Canadians, should make this a destination during their trip to Italy.

A very large museum commemorating one of the most urban battles ever. Well organized, with plenty of artifacts, a good description of events and troop movements and even a little room for prayer for the fallen and their families. A must see while in the area

This private museum includes an incredible collection of uniforms, weapons, and accessories of the soldiers fighting in Ortona, as well as mementos and accounts of the battle from civilian residents.
Models of the town during and after the battle are very well put together and add extra perspective. Well worth a visit for anyone interested in WWII history.
