My father fought in the Battle of Ortona and told many stories of it while he was alive, so it was a sobering time for me to realize more of what he had experienced. The museum has many details and pictures of the battle with chronological descriptions of the lead up to and the battle itself. Many artifacts have been donated to the museum, particularly by the Seaforth Highlanders. Anyone interested in the Second World War and in particular, Canadians, should make this a destination during their trip to Italy.
