We stayed in Villa Barbarich as guests with my husband for 6 days and every day used the restaurant for a breakfast. What a great setting! It looks like museum with restored painted ceilings and walls. We enjoyed great selection of good, including all fresh ingredients, yogurts, plenty of fruits, some hot dishes. And service in restaurant has been amazing too. We did not use it for special dinner, but have heard a lot of good remarks from fellow travelers. I have to note: hotel management has included complementary breakfast in our room rate. It is a special bonus. And whole stay in this wonderful hotel ( great quiet surroundings, complementary use of health club etc.) has been really enjoyable. Big Thanks to Hotel Manager Mr. Christian Zingarelli for taking good care of us, the couple with a lot of health issues!

Thank Irina T

Dear Irina T,

Thank you so much for defining Villa Barbarich as the best hotel in Mestre, we are delighted to see that you loved the breakfast setting - that looks like a museum thanks to the restored frescoes, dating back to 1500 - and the whole experience.

We are pleased to read that you enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and our service, we definitely look forward to welcoming you again very soon!

We ate here on the last night of our stay at Villa Barbaric. After 4 days of incredibly average food in Venice this was perfect. We went for the taster menu and had 5 courses all cooked to absolute perfection. Delicious, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. Well worth it and highly recommended

Definitely the place is a great addition to the whole eating experience. The beauty of the affreschi that surround you while enjoying the food add something magic. The food is fresh and there is a good choice of wine. Prices are quite high à la carte. The Service is nice. There were three tables booked when we ate there and even though the chef came in the room in several occasions , he only spent time talking with his friend at one table. Quite rude I must say. Maybe a “good evening” to the other couples would have been appreciated, that and the radio cracking music from the 80’s where the only “bummer”moments we experienced during the night.

Dear dfa1975,

Reading that you enjoyed your eating experience, appreciating the beauty of the "affreschi" that surround everyone who dines here, the quality of our food, the wine choice and the service.

On the other hand, we are grieved to read that you felt a bit of rudeness at the hands of the chef and that you heard music from the 80's - we will take your feedback into account and we will talk with our team right away, in order to improve our service.

We hope we'll have the chance to welcome you again in the future, allowing us to provide a better experience,

Best Regards,

While you enjoy the fantastic food you can admire the fabulous wall paintings!

The food has a refined taste and is nicely dressed on the plate. The price is very reasonable for this kind of restaurant.
