Perfect place to crash for city break to Venice

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 27 Feb 2023
Lovely experience staying here for 5 nights, lovely and friendly staff. Staff were extremely helpful with any questions we had with travel or places to eat ect. The room was good, clean and tidy with hair dryer, mini fridge & tv.
He helped us book excursions and showed us exactly where to go and what times.
Massive shout out to the gentleman on reception everyday 11am-11pm nothing is ever a trouble ans always greeted with a smile.

The hotel location was great 10 minute tram to Venice central. A grocery store just up the road, followed by bars, amazing pizza takeaway, geleteo bar. To anyone like us (couple) looking for a nice place to stay on your city break, this is the perfect place to crash. Don’t be put off by 2 star rating !!!

This is a pretty basic, functional two-star hotel that doesn't pretend to be anything else. The staff are very helpful and pleasant and the rooms are clean and reasonably well equipped. The real benefit is the location. A two minute walk and you're at the T1 tram stop (tickets from the tabbachi) which is 15 minutes from the heart of Venice. There are a few smaller restaurants and bars near the tram stop, but a ten minute walk the other way, over the main bridge and there's what looks like a converted train platform with several really nice, modern bars and restaurants. On-site parking is limited so be sure to email ahead to reserve one. We wanted somewhere convenient for a two night stay and this was perfect. But if you want longer and have young children to amuse, maybe not so?

Hotel was clean, comfortable, well run and friendly staff, towels, hairdryer and shower gel provided. Buffet breakfast was excellent and very well placed only a 2 minute for the tram into Venice. Definitely worth another visit.

Having chosen this hotel for its great reviews based on location and friendly staff we were not disappointed ! Delighted with this find. My partner and I thought this little hotel was magic , the lady on reception with the long dark hair was lovely , friendly, informative and checked us in in a flash . I had emailed in advance to request a balcony room and this we got . The balcony made our stay , loved it ! The room was pretty small with small bathroom that hadn’t been renovated but we were very satisfied as the balcony just added to its charm plus we had a small bath , not just a shower . Breakfast was lovely , a wide choice with friendly staff . Tram line just around corner too. Perfect and we were on Venice island in about 15 minutes . We bought our tickets daily from the tabac shop round the corner . We ate at the hotels neighbouring restaurant and they squeezed us in just before siesta closing which was much appreciated . The man on reception at hotel went out of his way to provide us with a tram ticket when the shop was closed, advised us on bus times to airport for the next day and even put a sun umbrella up for us outside as we were too hot to sit in the sun for breakfast . What service . Magic! All in all a wonderful stay and we loved this hotel . Great price and great links to Venice island . The reviews are all correct . Thank you Hotel delle Rose from Judy and Allan we had a fabulous stay .

Our cousin booked the room, it was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was included. The tram was about a 5 minute trip and you can buy tickets from the hotel and it was a short trip to Venice. The breakfast had a good selection. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

We came to Venice for a 4 day discovery weekend and were looking for a reasonably priced hotel with easy city access. Tripadvisor convinced us this was a good option. And it was right. Taking into consideration that is is a 2* hotel it has a good Price Quality ratio. Rooms are small but ok. Shower is a a bit old but works ok. Breakfast is ok without having the overwhelming buffet. Service is very friendly and helpful. The enormous strong point of this hotel is its location. In the middle of a small street with on one end a direct bus stop to the airport (15’ ride) and on the other side a direct tram stop to Venice (15’ ride). We had a clear explanation on how things work transport wise. Only minus for me was the bed which was too hard. I stuffed the bed with linen to make it softer. But all things considered I very nice experience.
