Review of Hotel Venezia
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 3 Aug 2024
The hotel is exactly as I expected the decor is very Italian just what I wanted .
It's well kept and very comfortable soft beds and nice pillows .
Breakfast is continental as you would expect but does have everything for everyone from cheese and ham to toast boiled eggs and yoghurt, a range of cereals and croissants.
I had a room with a balcony which was a bonus as they wasn't many of these room number 538 .
The only down side I would say is the bathroom is very tight with it behind sliding door and if your on the larger size would be difficult to use .
The toilet is right Infront of the bed so no good if your sharing one would have to leave the room whilst you use it.
The customer service is good and are very helpful.
The hotel isn't near Venice but is in reach on the bus just 10 minutes, the bus station is right behind the department store outside the hotel the bus tickets are €3 return and can be bought from the hotel reception, once you get on the bus you have to scan your ticket on the machine to activate.
The bus you need is B1 stand and bus 4L this will drop you off at the steps to an enchanted world , then the same bus back to the hotel you don't get off until the last stop in both directions.
They is also a market on a wednesday and Friday outside the hotel and you will be surprised of just how big it is ,it goes from street to street with plenty to buy from food and flowers to clothes, shoes and hand bags.
The hotel is in the perfect location it's quite and easy reach of all the local shops ,buses trams and coaches .
The coach you need to return to the airport is an ATVO just on the main street and is €10 you buy the ticket from the machine.
Have a wonderful time in this beautiful city and this fabulous hotel.

We have just returned from six nights here. The hotel is very traditional and clean and the hotel staff are very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast is good, plenty of food to choose from, and good coffee.
We would have liked a fridge in our room though. It was so hot while we were here and we spent a fortune on cold drinks.
We also got confused as to where to catch the bus to the Airport. There is a timetable in the reception, but no.map explaining exactly where to catch the airport bus as it is not at the bus station where you catch the bus or tram to Venice.
The hotel staff were very helpful in explaining where to go, but a map would have been useful near to the timetable.
We would definitely recommend this hotel. Not in Venice centre, but away from the crowds, and easy to get into Venice by bus or tram.

We were 4 mature Welsh Rugby supporters staying overnight in Venice for a rugby match in Treviso. The hotel was a 5 min walk away from the tram/bus station with connections to Venice. Mestre is a pretty town with welcoming bars and eateries. The hotel staff were excellent and accommodating. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, which made the stay more comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast was a generous continental offering with unlimited amount of drinks and food. We loved the fancy, Venetian style decor.

Excellent hotel. Very easy to get to from the airport. €10 by bus. Walked out of passport control and through main doors and saw the buses. Easy to get tickets from the ticket machine. Must validate your bus ticket. Just scan it on the machine. Hotel 15min bus ride. Hotel exceptionally clean! Venetian feel to the hotel. Bathroom very clean and fresh crisp bed linen. Continental breakfast which was more than enough. Very yummy. Would recommend the croissants and fresh rolls. Very helpful staff on reception. I emailed them as my flight was delayed and wouldn’t get there until midnight. They emailed back within 5 mins. Nicola was very helpful. Then I emailed again to ask if buses ran late (which they do midnight) and how to get to hotel and pablo emailed me back and extensive English written email with full instructions. We bought our travel day passes from reception. They prefer cash. Cheaper than paying for bus and water boats. The pass even covered us for the ferry to the lagoon islands. Very worth buying. The more days you buy the cheaper. We bought 3 days. Will definitely stay in this Brel again and duly recommend. Easy access to airport. And 20 min bus ride to the water boats into main st marks

Me and my wife stayed here for 2 nights, It is €35 from Marco Polo airport via taxi and the journey is around 15 minutes. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean. The room was rather small as well as the shower / toilet room but the bed was comfortable. Because it is an old hotel the walls are paper thin and you can always hear when people are coming in and out of rooms and walking down the hall way and talking, I am a light sleeper so i didn't get as much sleep as i would have liked during our stay. The only thing i was disappointed with was the breakfast mainly because there was no hot food and not many options to choose from. In all honesty i wish i did not pay to have breakfast and just got it somewhere else. The hotel was less than a 5 minute walk to get to the tram and bus stop to get into Venice and reception helped with directions and you could buy day passes at the hotel. All in all i thought it was a nice hotel and perfect if you are staying to visit Venice. I would stay again but i would just not include breakfast. Also with the new rules to visit venice with the QR codes this hotel is in the catchment area and because you pay the tourist tax at the end of your stay you wont have to pay the €5 each a day to visit venice you just have to apply online for your QR code.

This was a nice hotel which was clean and tidy. The reception staff were friendly and helpful when asked for information. The breakfast was a good quality continental breakfast buffet. The room was small with a very small wet room as a bathroom which overall did the job we wanted and was clean.

Room tip: Local to Venice via tram/bus.
