Highly recommend, great hotel!

Excellent hotel

We chose this hotel as we wanted a pool. It was a fantastic hotel.

Location/transport
It is on the mainland, rather than Venice itself, but it has a bus stop directly outside the hotel, which takes you straight into Venice for something really cheap like 1.50euros. You can also buy tickets and travel cards in the hotel reception, we ended up buying a 3 day travel card which gives you access to all the buses as well as boat buses in the city. It is 10 mins into Venice and 10 mins to the airport. You could get the airport shuttle to the hotel, stop at Orlanda Appia bus stop. This is included in the travel card prices. Ticket machines are at the airport too and any bus stops in the city.

Pool
Lovely big pool and plenty of sun beds. Could hire towels if needed.

Room
Very spacious and modern, drinks fridge, air conditioning, big beds and comfortable bed linen. Ice machines by the lifts on each level.

Attractions
St Mark's square, get tickets for the tower in the square (although queues to come back down in summer season!!) you access this via a lift. Get tickets for the basilica (wear appropriate clothing e.g. covered shoulders, knee length shorts etc) and then the museum/dome balcony of the basilica. Gondola trip, these are all the same price of 90euros for 30mins, 110 euros in the evening for 35mins. Lovely to do. These are all over the city along the canal, we chose to do the smaller canal areas near St Mark's square. Get the boat bus over to Murano island and watch the glass demo, also to Burano island to see the colourful houses. I wouldn't bother with palace tickets as these were more like 30euros per person and you only really get to see the prisons via Bridge of Sighs. Don't eat in St Mark's square unless you want to pay crazy prices. Everywhere else is very reasonable to eat/drink. Would recommend a meal at Hotel Continental which is an easy walk from the main bus stop in Venice, it is one of the first few restaurants on the canal.

The Hilton Garden Inn in Mestre in a nice hotel. The staff is very friendly, kind and helpful. It turned out the complimentary breakfast for a Hilton Diamond member was for the member ONLY and did not include my roommate! Also, a second room I reserved under my name did NOT qualify for the free comp breakfast at all (like it does in the U.S.) The buffet breakfast was good and the rooms were clean and nice. We only stayed one night so didn't have much time to formulate a good opinion but I would stay there again. There is a bus stop out front to go to Venice. NOTE: The hotel is on the mainland and you must cross a bridge to get to the major Venice spots. The taxi ride from the hotel to the bus depot was 40€ 1 way. Fairly expensive for a short visit. We rode the vaporetto for the first time. It was fun, but cost 9.50€ per person/per ride.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I travel often and I have never been treated so poorly. My family and I arrived from America and the hotel denied our reservation due to an occupancy rule that I was unaware of. (an EMAIL was sent to me prior to trip that I didn't read ). Anyways when I explained our situation, the manager was NOT willing to help, she continued to try to raise rates. Then she proceeded to charge me late-cancellation fees for both reserved rooms even though it wasn't me who cancelled. They refused our stay. The most frustrating part was her rudeness. Nobody from Hilton has acknowledged how rude this person was, nor was there any assurance of any counselling or discipline given to her from this poor experience. It's like they simply didn't care.
please please please DO NOT stay here. If one person changes their mind from this review I will feel like I at least accomplished something from this poor experience. We ended up staying in a last minute AirBnB and everything was great.

Firstly it's a 15 minute ride from the airport - €30 from the taxi rank or the bus stops outside. It is in the middle of nowhere but don't let that put you off. 2 regular buses to Venice stop outside and the hotel provides a timetable. The fare is€1.50 each way to Venice bus terminal or travel cards are available to buy at reception. We bought the 72 HR option for €45 which includes the vaporetto ( each ride €9.50) we got very good use of it going all the way to Burano!
Very clean and welcoming. Rooms ready from 2 but we got 1 at 12.45.
We book the 2 queen bed rooms and they were a nice size for a 4 night break. Tea and coffee in the room as well as a fridge and kettle.
Small shop on site charges seemed reasonable.
Pool area clean and comfortable. A food and drinks service was available and the staff were great. Nice big pool towels.
Breakfast is buffet and coffee self service. Lovely pastries.
Yes the overpass to come back over the road from the bus stop is a bit grim but
we still rated the hotel 5 because it provided everything we needed at a reasonable price. Being out of the city gave us a pool to escape to in the afternoon and air conditioning that works!
Take care when booking a taxi back to the airport - use Uber- the local company overcharged us.

Outstanding! This was a real surprise as I expected a fairly basic hotel. In fact, it was superior to many Hilton Hotels I have stayed in. Delightful bedroom, superb pool and outdoor area, great food, a lovely convivial bar and very welcoming and friendly staff. It was also good value and if I'm ever back in the Venice area I will surely return! In the meantime, thank you for a great stay.. Highly recommended..

I stayed at the is hotel in the latter part of May.
Fantastic hotel !! It's definitely worth the price for location and provides all the necessary facilities/amenities expected from a 4*. The building looks great inside and out. The lobby is spacious with very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff at the reception.
Room was comfy, clean and great with nice views outside. There were plenty of electrical sockets to plug in laptops, charge your phones etc. Iron/iron board/hair dryers, towels etc all available.
Restaurant was also quite nice. I had the breakfast there and it was fine. However (being a vegetarian), I could not have the scrambled egg that was together with some meat container (under the same lid). The restaurant staff did there best to help me with alternates.
One of the best things about this hotel is the location. You are close to Venice, Mestre, airport and other main routes. Hotel staff can issue a bus ticket for Venice (only 3 Euros return!!), the bus stop being at hotel door step.
I would recommend this hotel, whatever the reason of your travel, and go there again myself.
