GREAT LOCATION AND VERY HELFUL STAFF

Review of Hotel Alveri
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 20 Oct 2019
My wife and I stayed at Hotel Alveri for one night before our one week cruise from Venice, and two nights after the cruise. When we arrived at 12 noon Thomas said our room would be ready in 20 minutes (instead of 2:30pm).
We asked him to book the hotel shuttle to take us to the Cruise terminal for 15 euros. He did say there was a 5 minute walk from the drop off point, but this proved to be not a problem as most people were dropped off at Piazzale Roma and we just followed then and a level path to the ship.
You can buy a combined bus and boat ticket from Thomas which allows you to use any local bus and boat in Venice for a set nummber of days. This was very useful to easily get around. there is a bus stop outside the hotel (Bus 43) - which runs every 15 minute and 20 minutes on a Sunday. Last bus back to the hotel from Venice in the week is around 11pm and 10:30pm on a Sunday. There are a few restuarants within a 10 minutes walk but not many. We booked the hotel shuttle to take us to the Airport for 25 euros to return home.
Thomas speaks 5 languages and is the best and most helpful receptionist I have ever met.

We stayed in the Hotel 4 nights and exceeded our expectations!!!!
We have selected this hotel because of the location. We did not want drag suitcases over several bridges or take a water-taxi to any hotel.
It is on the mainland 15-18 minutes away by bus FROM Venice CITY CENTER.
The Bus 43 is really convenient. The bus stop is exactly at the hotel entrance
(Bus stop name: Paganello Ticozzi) and brings you right into Venice city center!!
Bus 31 H brings you to the train station.
Please buy bus the tickets at the front desk: Euro 1.50 per person.
The front desk has a bus schedule for your information.
There is a supermarket 5 minutes away and we did buy there all the water and drinks. The hotel room has a mini refrigerator for the drinks
The front Desk / receptions are speaking English and everybody was very pleasant and knowledgeable.
Mr. Thomas speaks fluent French!!!
Thank you:
Mr. Thomas, Ms. Gioia, Ms. Gaelle and Anna.
One morning we had breakfast and there was no more banana for me.
The breakfast attendant Ms. Alexia remembered and the next morning she personally gave me a banana. It was a very pleasant experience. Thank you.
The hotel has a shuttle service to the airport for Euro 25.
It was really the best and the most convenient way from the hotel to the airport.
We personally recommend Hotel Alveri to anybody,
André

This hotel is located outside the center of Venice but the bus stops right in front of the hotel for easy access to the center and to the train station. It was great for us because we were traveling in a group of 7 and needed to park our Van in their parking lot. Also, only hotel in Italy that we went to that actually had great a/c which was appreciated since we had 105 degree weather when we went. They also had a very nice spread for breakfast and a fridge in the room. The hospitality was great and there was an elevator which was also appreciated.

We staied there for 2 nights.
The staff where friendly, and the hotel was clean.
No fredge in the room, coffee mashin or mini bar.. no iron or water to drink. We had to go down from the 4th floor to get water or coffee.
The AC stoped working at night and it was too hot , when I calld the reception they saied its like this at night only recycling the air. But it was allmost 28 degrees in the room. Att the end they fixed it some how after a small trouble.
The location is good , near the buss.
Good parking places.
Breakfast was okey..
The girls in the houskeeping are amazing and helpfull, also those in the resturant.

Affordable hotel with friendly staff who explain everything to you. There is a bus going to Venice every 30 minutes. The bus stop is in front of hotel. Buses do not operate on Sundays. However you can request for Hotel Shuttle to drive you directly to Venice and collect you as well!! (5 eur one way great deal comparing to uber-expensive taxi's). If you are using buses/trams/vaporetti I recommend you to get 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 day pass at reception desk. Well worth it!
Tasty breakfasts+quiet in here night+ spacious rooms and bathroom! Loved it

1. they have a shuttle bus to the airport that costs 25,00. the cab costs 35,00. so i asked for the shuttle but we were not picked up at arrival. 2. going back we did not get the shuttle because 7am in the morning was to early for them. 3. there are 3 restaurants within 12.00 bucks cab ride. the shuttle brings you there for 10.00. 4.the pizzeria next to NHone hotel is VERY nice. you should go there ! 5/ the breakfast is great - a good start for the day ! 6. the staff was very helpful and friendly, also the nightshift sold us soda cans for the room/ there is also a vending machine with snacks in the foyer/ 7.when we had to checkout early they made us a lovely lunch bag 8. this one is the second major fail: i was stung or bitten by something during first night 5 times. i asked them the next morning to change blankets sheets and pillows. when we came back after a long day in venice - it was NOT done/ 9. we did buy stuff from supermarket - if their bar is not open we had to eat in the room of course...10. the public bus is very good to reach old city and they sell 1day/1week public transport cards. 11.it was ok there, we might come back

Room tip: balcony for smokers
