We travel in Europe at least once a year and have gotten used to smaller hotel rooms than in the U.S. We were pleasantly surprised at how roomy the accommodation was at this hotel. We appreciated the ability to freely move around the room, the decent size of the bathroom and the ability to find ample space to store all of the clothing from our suitcases. In addition, the breakfast buffet every morning was very inviting and we chose to eat there every morning even though breakfast was not included in our rate. We found the location excellent - couldn't be any closer to the Mestre railroad station or the bus stop for the #2 bus direct to Venice. Our dealings with the front desk staff members were always very good. In summary, we had a very pleasant and satisfactory stay for 3 nights.

This is a lovely old hotel that has been brought right up to date with every modern convenience. Situated opposite Venice Mestre railway station, the rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The room was cleaned daily and the bathroom shower was good. Downstairs you will find a bar/cafe and a restaurant for evening dining and a breakfast room.

This hotel probably deserves a score of 5 because besides mentioning the above the staff are very good too, however what did let it down slightly was it's location. Being located opposite the railway station it did get quite noisy at night, also the area attracted beggers and others with either drug habits or alcohol problems in fact it wasn't the best place to wander around at night it did at times feel quite threatening, shame because the hotel is very nice.

Don't let the name fool you! This modern, well-appointed hotel is conveniently located across from the bus and train depot. Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, clean, and modern. Good restaurants and amenities located nearby. Get a multi-day transport pass for easy access to Venice proper with regularly timed routes. Affordable coffee drinks and breakfast. We were very impressed with this hotel and the affordability of it. Much easier to stay here instead of in Venice proper. We were able to easily travel to Venice day and night by bus and/or train.
