We originally booked Hotel Pantalon on Venice, and the reviews were quite good until after we booked and looked on trip advisor. we were then very much put off! So after lots of research and not wanting to spend much more, this hotel seemed the best choice and by far it was. Lovely staff and a lovely room. The bed was very big and comfy, the bathroom outstanding with a terrific shower (better than what I have at home) with towels provided and shower gel too and a hair dryer. There are means to make tea/coffee; if you need a top-up, ask at reception, and they are happy to provide extras. Bonus a mini fridge which was handy for some snacks or drinks to put in. Just a word of warning: Be careful what you leave near the bin, we left a bag not to near the bin, but it had some packs biscuits in, and the maid had thought it was rubbish and took them thinking it was rubbish. A minor hiccup, but I suppose it's our fault in a way. Hotel is nice and quite off the main road, bus stop 3 mins away for Venice, no 2 and comes every 15 mins, and takes 15 mins. Train station 7 minutes away. Very handy and ideal.
