what a gem this wonderful hotel is, 2 minutes away from the beautiful beach of Grosseto.
The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly, we had a warm welcome on arrival, our plane had been delayed so we got to the Eden Park 2hrs later than expected, we were very tired and hungry so the lady on reception phone through to the chef to ask if there was anything from dinner left, he managed to put together a lovely dinner for us, brilliant.
our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean like the rest of the hotel. The ladies on Housekeeping were great, they did an excellent job with the rooms. Breakfast was self service with fresh fruit, hams, cheeses, an assortment of cakes and breads, cereals, coffee, teas, jams, very nice. The gardens that surround the hotel are beautiful and kept to perfection, we would chill out in there every day, just lazing by the pool and reading, fabulous. There are lots of restaurants just minutes away from the hotel should you choose not to eat in, delicious seafood all freshly cooked mmmmmm. This is a must stay hotel, would recommend it to everyone----and it's totally pet friendly, a bonus for pet lovers. Can't wait to go back again and explore more, there is the local buses which took you into Grosseto town which only costs 3 euros and takes about 20 mins, worth the visit.

Room Tip: we had a lovely quiet room facing the back of the hotel, nice large bathroom.

The Good:
* clean, comfortable room
* shutters to keep out the light if you're sleeping late
* free wifi, though in my room the signal did not always penetrate the room, worked well otherwise throughout
* reasonably priced--€8--decent, if not extravagant, breakfast
* two blocks from the beach, a wide, long stretch of beach with many umbrellas set out, and a section devoted to Eden Park guests
* many shops and restaurants within a three-block area, though overloaded with pizzerias; but it is Italy after all.
* room seemed reasonably quiet
* parking in front and back of hotel (free, I think); parking on street as well
* outdoor pool beside hotel, with grassy area as well
* on premises small bar with a small selection of wine, beer, and liquor--I think.
* park your car, not needed in the marina area
* the service was excellent, every reasonable need taken care of quickly and cheerfully

The Not so Good:
* it may be a European thing, but couldn't larger pieces of soap be provided rather than the postage stamp size?
* observation: be cautious drivers, lots of one-way streets in the area

Summary:
This is a good-value-for-the-money place to stay, more than adequate in every respect. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I ever found myself in Grosseto again.

Shout Out:
Elena, who seemed to be there almost around the clock, is a standout hotel host. She made my four-night stay there ever so much better. She seemed to anticipate my every request. Whatever her salary, it isn't enough.

Marina di grosseti is the typical italian coast village. The hotel is well located with reasonable distance to see, shops, bus stop, etc. the garden is lovely and staff are freindly and helpful. We were the only childless couple in the hotel, so be aware of children running around!! The parking lot also comes very handy as Marina is 20 min away from Grosseto and renting a car is a good idea to reach the city. You won't find many amenties in hotel room or many options in the breakfast. The room is small but the beatiful terrace pays it off. It is 3 stars on the best. Recommended for those looking for budget and good service hotel.

The staff was helpful and friendly. Because of this, we enjoyed our stay.

But there is no way the rooms and facilities can be given four stars.

If planning a trip to this part of Italy, you may want to skip Marina di Grosetto. There is nothing picturesque or quaint about this lower middle class beach Mecca.

Dear Nola, thank you for your review and your congratulations on the good job of the staff.
Marina di Grosseto is a small village near by the sea, recommended for those who appreciate quiet and tranquillity.
We hope you had a nice trip in Italy!

Very good hotel located close to the beach. Room rates include breakfast and a place at the beach (Bagno Stella). A real plus is the hotel personnel who is kind, professional and very helpful.
Lots of attractions for kids (luna park and street shows). The restaurant of the hotel is good with a good choice of food. The swimming pool is a good option for those who do not like sandy beaches.
