We managed to get a table at 19.30 without a reservation. Fixed menu... with possibility to modify apparently according to allergies etc .... we didn’t need to . Starter with mixed pickles, dips coriander bread sticks... all home grown produce. Then a tuna carpaccio with Safran. Japanese turnip soup . Grey trigger fish and braised steak on local sweet bread for main. Finally warm chocolate cake with ice cream and kumquat confi. All in all fine food with local fresh produce in interesting combinations. The service could not have been more pleasant. Price performance exceptional.

There is a set menu of dishes, and each one was delicious. An array of appetizers with little flavorful dips; a salad with goat cheese and honey wrapped in puff pastry; a clear parsley soup; a firm white fish with a cream/butter sauce and vegetables; and poached pears/plums and almond ice cream for dessert. Easily the best meal we had in the Azores, simple and well-prepared - you could tell the chef really knows and cares about the local ingredients. Staff also very friendly and eager to make sure our dinner was perfect. I only wish I lived there so I could eat there once a week!

Can only agree with the other reviews – this is an absolute must when visiting Sao Miguel. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the food is truly outstanding. They cater to dietary requirements as long as you let them know in advance (email quintadossabores3@gmail.com – also the email to make a booking) and I can’t think of many/any other place you could eat five/six courses of such incredibly delicious home-made food for 40 euros a head. Looking forward to our second visit when we return to the Azores already!

This is a must do in the Azores! The food is outstanding and the service is perfect! I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Farm-to-Table is an understatement! The dishes presented were excellent and we loved interacting with the owners and family. 6 course dinner with wine include = great value!
