We were passing and saw people eating outside what looked like nice slices of pizza so we popped in to have a look. There were half a dozen different ready cooked pizzas on display. The lady behind the counter explained in English what each one was. We ordered a selection and she cut off the sizes we wanted. After heating them up in an oven she cut them into smaller slices and placed them on a wooden platter. We had 2 bottles of local microbrewery Leece beer. We ate outside. Beware that cars do drive down this road. The pizza base was lovely and crisp. I went back for another slice. The pizzas are priced by weight. No toilet though, so you'll have sticky hands afterwards but napkins are provided. Not a place to spend a long leisurely lunch but definitely worth it for a proper Italian pizza.

Near the Duomo. From a wide selection of pans pizzas, pick what looks good to you, tough decisions are made easier by saying the size that you want and they'll use the scissors to take a little of this, a little of that, pop into the oven to reheat then serve them cut again into smaller pieces. Enjoy them on the stools with small tables on the pedestrian street with a beer, water, soda and head on your way in old town.

We very much enjoyed trying several pieces of pizza. There were some unique combinations and the flavors were amazing. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful pizza we had at Il Pizzicotto. It was full of flavour, extremely tasty. I believe the dough has been rested for quite a while to develop its unique taste. They had different variety of pizza on the counter. The staff was nice and very helpful. Two very passionate young people who deliver amazing pizza! This place is a must go in Lecce. 100% recommended!

Good simple pizza-by-the-slice sort of place. Have 4-5 trays of pizzas ready cooked, which are cut to your choosing, weighed (for price - about €1.30 for a 15 x 6 cm rectangle) and then warmed in small ovens for a minute of two. The pizza is very good, crisp base with good flavours. Popular with locals. There's a couple of seats inside, and then about 10 outside on the street - or you can go 30 metres up or down the road to public benches. A good place for a quick lunch; not a sit down place. Pizza not wood fired, but still good. Lunch for family of four, with soft drinks, €15!
