Too bad TripAdvisor has nothing between a three star rating (average) and four stars (very good) because this hotel is worth 3.5 stars (good). It is slightly above average. I would have given it four stars if there was air conditioning in the public areas. The lobby, halls and even the dining room in the basement all lacked air conditioning during one of the worst heat waves ever in Italy. Eating breakfast with no air conditioning was not pleasant. Because there was no AC in the halls, the room AC had to work very, very hard to keep the room at an acceptable temperature. It wasn't as cool as we would have liked.

Other than the AC issue, the hotel was nice enough. The rooms were simple but functional. The bed was only moderately comfortable. The shower stall was very small but the water temperature and pressure were satisfactory. It was not the kind of room that inspired you to spend much time there.

Service was fine and the receptionist was nice. There was a small elevator which was good because we were on the fourth floor and it would have been a nightmare carrying all our suitcases up that far. We had to make two trips to get all the luggage to the room. That's how small the elevator is. There was parking on the street. It was a very short drive to the old city center which is really quite charming. The breakfast had a fairly good selection although many items were in individual plastic wrapped packages. All in all, a decent hotel but not that inspiring. It was a good stopover for one night, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay there longer.

Excellent location, very nice rich breakfast with fruits, good coverage of free wifi, kind personal on the reception, very close to the old town. There is no net on the windows while many mosquitos are around.

The hotel is near to the city center, it is really in good position, only 10 minutes by walk. The room is really nice but i didn t like that it is little bit old. They should make up the doors,it s not easy to close them, especially the bathroom door, it was impossible to close it and it miss the key.During the shower the pressure water was not so strong, and it wasn't confortable to get shower. The breakfast was average. The staff very polite and helpfull. The price was good.
Best regards.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were nice and clean, but nothing fancy. Beds OK, and a tiny balcony with a view of the city roof tops. Bathroom clean. Location was great, close to the historic center. The bus stop was close by for the bus to the beach. We loved Grosseto, a quiet town with a nice city center and a relaxed Italian feel. Would stay at same hotel if going back.

Recommended by our Italian colleague it is a useful hotel. When you have business in town like we did it is a useful accommodation. Fine lobby with friendly people to help. The breakfast was good, the place where it was served look nice. The room we rented was okay to sleep, no more than that. Good central position for transport and railway. We just stayed two days. When we come back for a week next time we look for something more convenient.
