“lots of sand”
Review of Lido di Fido

Lido di Fido

another italian sandy beach, with all usuall touristic items, and lots of people during the summer. Nothing special, but easy to reach. Even from Slovenia, if you prefere that kind of beach.

Long beach, clear water, for those who like to jump into the water - you have to walk far into the see in order to do it ;) But the beach in Grado is great for families with small children and for long walks.

Its not the usual time of year to go to the beach , but on the fine sunny winters day we went there it had its own different kind of charm. People walking friendly dogs , lots of space along the sands which in summer is replaced by masses of sunbathers on hired day beds under umbrellas. I love the beach in winter for its own special charm. Its perfect for a romantic stroll.

A very good opportunity for the dog owners to get their pets to the beach, considering that dogs have no access to the regular beaches.
The dog gets a special dog-sunbed and a bowl with water. Prices are a pretty high, we paid EUR 29,- for the access fee, our two sunbeds, umbrella and our dog's sunbed (4th row, more expensive if you want in front rows).
The main disadvantage is that the sea is very far. In that period the sea was very retracted so we had to walk 100m away from our umbrella to get to the water. I don't know if it was just for now, or it happens on a regular basis.
