We enjoyed our unwind holiday for 6 days and feel that is the perfect time frame to stay here at the Grand Hotel Fasano. Nice little amenities sitting by the lake with a fruit kebab coming every day, and in the afternoon a yummy lemon pop-cycle to quench your thirst.
The property has pizazz but the room in block 3 was very basic - no balcony as in block 2, no amenities per se, and quite bland. Ask for a balcony - hint.
The town restaurants nearby had a good selection of meals for two around 50Euro; and the balcony restaurant La Terrazza at Grand Hotel Fasano was about the same price for a couple of nice hamburgers which was a nice change from the excess of Italian food.
The onsite Trattoria Il Pescatore was O.K., and tries to be very upmarket, received a Michelin 2 years ago, and with nice food - but hard to give accolades with the pricing and small serves on offer.
I still love the place with all its faults, but have been and looking forward to better again in our travels.More
