We have visited this restaurant as a special family event during our skiing stay at Corvara. It is a true jewel of Italian cuisine. We had the Italian menu with a very inventive prawn (half raw / half fried), fresh and light pasta with mussels, delicate pumpkin gnocchi, a rabbit with amazingly concentrated taste and mascarpone cheese with citrus fruits. The presentation was flawless and the wines pairing was a dream. We were greeted by a glass of champagne and our kids were given an alternative of a beautifully presented fruit cocktail. I was especially touched by the ease with which the chef was able to produce a first class pasta bolognese and wiener schnitzel for our younger son who was not able to choose from the sophisticated menu. I also appreciated the careful choice of softly playing music with an information about the singer that was given to us on a nice card during the dinner.
One thing to consider when you go by car: if you have a problem finding it with GPS, just find the church in Corvara. The main entrance (and parking) of Hotel La Perla is on the left side just below the church.
La Stua de Michil is in my opinion a deservedly 1 star Michelin restaurant and our dinner there on the 21st of December was a real artistic experience. Would definitely recommend it and will come back again. The price of the menu for 2 adults and 2 children was 570 EUR including wines. Btw. excellent coffee - not to be missed! :-)
Excellent food, but the design and the atmosphere of this place is beyond words. It really feels like you are somewhere between the lines of a fairytale.
needing reservations in advance, we were able to get in the third day and it was magnificient. The presentation was already mouth watering but the taste of my deer was out of this world, truly exceptional! don't miss it when in Corvara!!!!
We went for the second time to this restaurant located inside the Perla hotel in Corvara. It did not disappoint as last time. Very nice and cosy ambience with wooden panels, romantic lighting and an impeccable and formal service. The cuisine has a modern twist on local dishes with a long and good quality wine list. The sommelier is very professional and prepared.
We had a starter of local, especially hand grown salad from their trusted farmer. Apparently most of the types of leaves in that salad are now extinct and only cultivated by this farmer on their behalf.. We had beetroot risotto with prawns and goat cheese. it was excellent. We had fish with chargrilled watermelon and a delicious caramel suffle.
Prices are steep but the place is a Michelin star and so it's suitable for a special night out. We recommend this place and will be back soon.
