Very tasty local food, friendly hosts, nice terrace and dining rooms with a theme. One filled with bears and another one with witches. Our children love this place. It is located just two minutes away from the St. Croce slopes. Across from the Utia L'Tama you can park your skies and a small bus ferries 8/10 people across. No more sleigh, it was too strenuous for the horses. Favorite dishes: filetto di Manzo, carpaccio, venison and for desert semi freddo. The home made ravioli and tiramisu were sold out.
We found it a bit difficult to get through on the phone to make a reservation and in the dark the restaurant (Oies), Tana dell'Orso is very hard to find. Our car navigation was no help at all. We went there for lunch and dinner.

We came here with our ski guide - 10 of us - and were welcomed, fed and watered efficiently and warmly. Food was good too! One main course, water, bread and a beer €18 a head.

We have been to this restaurant two years running, on both occasions booked by our guide. It involves leaving the good snow behind and skiing down to the village where you are greeted by a horse drawn sleigh and this year by a minibus (lack of snow) which takes you to the restaurant. It was lunchtime and pretty busy and lots of steaming plates were coming out. The thing is, this place relies too heavily on its quirkiness - the sleigh/ minibus (cost reflected in the menu prices) and the ghastly array, sorry plethora, of teddy bears which adorn every surface including the ceiling. The food and drinks are comparatively expensive and although our lunch on both occasions was welcoming and wholesome it was somehow just that. I suspect that guides feel that tourists will enjoy this sort of thing, they are warmly greeted here, but there are better places for skiers.

We had lunch here twice during our holiday, driving through from Cortina d'Ampezzo both times. Delicious food, wonderful service, relaxed atmosphere, breathtaking view, and such a gorgeous, quirky interior. My husband and I would highly recommend this spot! Loved it :)

Restaurants with not a normal atmosphere ... wherever there are dozens (maybe hundreds) of bears and witches! If your wife or girlfriend likes bears, go there. The food is good and the menu even have a meal with a bear as a gift.
