While the name isn't that original, there is clearly a passion and appreciation of good wine here that is worth knowing about. The atmosphere is cozy, the greeting friendly, and particularly in the evening it is likely to be full of locals-not tourists.
I'm still a bit annoyed from last year when "bagna cauda" was listed on the outside posted menu and twice we stopped by to be told it wasn't available that night.
Today, we tried it for a light lunch while using the self service laundry down the street. We ordered hamburgers and they were quite respectable and modestly priced. That is not a great challenge for a professional kitchen, but we look forward to returning and sampling some of the interesting wine selections with, perhaps,a few appetizers to enhance the experience. Note to the owners-we would still be pleased to find a decent bagna cauda in Liguria!
