“Very Dissapointing”
Reviewed 8 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Two retired couples stayed for 4 nights. The location was great as it was a short hop in the car to Grafham Sailing Club.
We were very disappointed with the general state of the property. Both bathrooms were poor and even with care caused the floor to get very wet. The upstairs bath actually caused water to come through to the bedroom and there was a very strong smell of musty damp in our bedroom.
The property needs a good deep clean and the window frames need regular opening and cleaning. If you tried to fully open the windows you got a great deal of wild life crawling over the floor. I am happy to pick up spiders, even very large ones, so this is not a spurious comment.
Another surprise was no dining table. The picnic table was great when it was dry but in early autumn it was usually wet.
I am only writing this review to balance the high rating as I cannot see how an excellent rating is justified at the moment. With a lot of TLC it could be easily.

Management Response
11 Sep 2017
The plumber came three times to stop a drip on the upstairs bath tap but was unable to fix it. It is now capped and I am considering replacing the whole bath. The window reveals have been cleaned and the spiders are back outside.
I had thought of putting a dining table and chairs in the chalet but space is at a premium and so I put in a coffee table and two bar-stools so that
one can eat at the counter or on the table. I thought that a better option than sacrificing the easy chairs or the dishwasher and washing machine.
The chalet is due for a major repaint and overhaul come October or sooner.

“Place of peace and nature”

We arrived at the chalet at the beginning of spring. The chalet was surrounded by bluebells and the sun was shining. It was magical! We went for a walk immediately just to get a glimpse of all the flowers, hear the birds singing, watch the lambs jumping in the fields and smell spring in the air. It was a wonderful get away. The chalet was warm, comfortable and cosy and our dog loved it! We are coming back as soon as we can! Thanks Leonard for providing us with this chalet so we can experience a great piece of British countryside. And don't forget to visit the village of Grafham and walk around Grafham water with your dog and family. A breath of fresh air!

“Lovely little chalet”

This is a lovely little chalet in a nice quiet area. We stayed for a long weekend but would have been happy to stay for a week. The chalet is surprisingly spacious but in a quirky way. Nice to have a garden too for the dogs to go in. We would be happy to stay here again if visiting the area.
