The most spectacular view we have seen so far, and the host did a fantastic job, making us an unforgettable meal. The kids even tried the rabbit caserole even through they have rabbits at home...

My daugther s, my husband and I ended a perfect day in Hakatere Park here. Welcomed by the friendly host, who served us a wonderful meal. We all had a wonderful time and will be back for sure. Thank you.
Mt. Potts Lodge was the first place we stayed in New Zealand, and, after two months traveling the country, it still remains one of our favorite spots. We went to see Mt. Sunday/Edoras of LOTR fame, but the countryside is spectacular, if remote. We ended up being the only ones there, but the manager Teja and chef Lloyd were great hosts. Clean bed, delicious food, fabulous view—what more can you ask? Amazing customer service too, as they delivered a forgotten pair of hiking shoes to Christchurch for us. Definitely above and beyond! We’d love to come back sometime for a longer stay.
We spent a few hours at Mt Potts Lodge enjoying the stunning countryside and most delicious food. Well worth going back to explore the beautiful surroundings even more and have some more amazing food. The staff was super friendly and even if the chef was also waiting on the guests everything went smoothly. An absolute must see while in New Zealand.
I came up to Mt Potts Lodge for a family weekend away two weeks ago, it was amazing, even in the autumn it is so beautiful. The food cooked by Lloyd was so great! We had the beef burgers and I can totally recommend! (their menu changes all the time so fingers crossed its on there when you visit).
Its a great place for walking, as there is alot of public access parks in the region!
Can't wait to go back.
We only spent one night here , arrived mid afternoon, set up camp and had a good look around . An absolutely stunning location . Opted for a feed in tge restaurant thinking it would be fairly average due to the isolation. WRONG a fantasic meal cold beer and friendly service and not too expensive. Then back for one of the best hot showers in NZ
Visited Edoras the next day , great short walk don't forget the bug repellant. .
