My wife and I popped in for a lunchtime drink and we were made so welcome by Louise we are coming back for lunch this week and actually booked a table for later in the week too. The Chelsfield is worth a visit.

I met up with 15 old friends in The Chelsfield this afternoon. Louise sorted out our food requirements a couple of days beforehand. Needless to say she made sure it arrived on time and well presented. All in all a great afternoon, thank you to Louise, Mike and all the staff(back and front of house)
Most of my guests had never been here before but left with a fantastic impression of a great Pub.

Been 3 times for a Sunday dinner since the refurb.
Food is very good with generous portions.
Staff are very friendly.
The selection of drinks is much improved (a massive downfall previously) with Camden Hells Neck Oil Moretti Tribute Taylor etc.
Some very minor faults - blinds at windows are needed in the restaurant , the tipping for staff isn't sorted yet (no service charge added automatically which is good but no option to add a tip, so take cash) selection of drinks for young kids has been poor (which 5 year old wants some posh glass bottle of fruity something, just give me fruit shoots)
But generally everything is a massive improvement over what it was, drinks, staff & food, very good. Definitely worth a visit.

Had an amazing lunch here yesterday with friends. The new renovation looks fantastic, had a lovely atmosphere and the food was truly delicious! We will definitely be going back. Thanks to Sarah our waitress who was very attentive and really looked after us.

I must say a biblical resurrection , long gone are the days of soggy roast spuds on the bar . I would recommend trying the new menu and new array of beers on offer .
