We would highly recommend this terrific lodge to anyone visiting this lovely, tranquil area. The owners are extremely helpful and welcoming and the facilities provided within the rooms are exemplary. The furniture, decor, housekeeping and air con are great as are the small touches - lovely coffee for cafetière, use of drying green and detailed written guidance on options to travel to Picton, including recommendations for places to eat. We were sorry to leave.

Room tip: Stay as long as you can !!

We stayed in a one bedroom chalet with a lovely, large, private seating area outside which got the evening sun. The kitchenette was suitable for cooking snacks and light meals and was very well equipped.
Abel Tasman Lodge is located close to the National Park tracks, water taxis, kayaks and 2 good restaurants /bars, the Park Cafe and Hooked. We were able to spend 3 days walking, swimming and eating out without using the car.
Scott and Jocelyn were great hosts offering advice on what to do during our stay, booking our water taxis and even how to get the most out of our journey to our next location.
This was one of our favourite stops on our 5 week journey through New Zealand. We would highly recommend.

Room tip: Ensure you make bookings for the park Cafe or Hooked in advance as they get very booked up.

Stayed at this excellent lodge during our trip to New Zealand. Jocelyn and Scott were extremely friendly and helpful and booked some water taxis for us before we arrived so that we could walk in Abel Tasman National Park. The room was spacious and very comfortable and there is the ability to self cater if required. They provided breakfast in the room if ordered the night before as well as a packed lunch. Both catered for gluten allergy. There is also a laundry at extra cost. Definitely highly recommend particularly if wanting to walk in Abel Tasman NP

The chalet that we stayed in was absolutely beautiful with a lovely, private seating area outside where we could relax after a hard day hiking in the National Park. The lodge is located close to the park, water taxis and 3 eateries and has great laundry and cooking facilities. As well as the chalet having everything you need and being immaculate, Scott was a terrific host offering advice on what to do during our stay and even how to get the most out of our journey to our next location. This has been an absolute highlight of our 4 weeks in NZ!
