We had a fantastic stay at this lovely Lodge. The welcoming by Jocelyn and Scott was very good and informative. The chalet itself was really nice. The communal kitchen was super good and was equipped with everything that was needed.
When we traveled on to our next destination on the journey, Jocelyn took the time to recommend what exciting things we could see and experience on the way there.

We had an amazing time at Abel Tamsan Lodge on our honeymoon earlier this month. The Kowahai suite was really spacious and comfortable. There is a lovely shared kitchen on site and BBQs for guests to use. Scott and Jocelyn were so welcoming. The Abel Tamsan Lodge is a true gem in Marahau.
Wonderful and comfortable small lodge at the edge of the park. Loved the outdoor patio for each unit with comfy chairs and shade screen. Great for enjoying the outdoors from your room. Owners are very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend choosing this place.
Our friends booked this lodge for us, so we didn't know what to expect. Our whole group was so impressed, and so were the judgemental children! We had air con in both the bedrooms AND the lounge. They have thought of absolutely everything. LOVED coming back to the room and our beds were made, what a treat! The grounds are fab, endless outdoor games, spa, space! The communal kitchen (which we didn't need due to our our place having cooking facilities) was cool, a great hang out with absolutely everything you need, BBQs etc... Its really clean and the attention to detail is really neat. Obviously every good place has great friendly hosts running it, so helpful and friendly. Awesome location right at the start of the park. Close to the cafe, park and sea. Will definitely go back, or recommend to anyone going down that way. Thanks so much to the owners of the Abel Tasman Lodge!
Absolutely loved every minute of our 4 night stay. We were welcomed by the friendly hosts who made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The room was modern with some lovely touches with nothing overlooked. The 3 rooms within the unit all had heat pumps- just amazing. Would recommend to all family and friends looking for an escape in one of the most beautiful parts of NZ.
