My wife siad that I should plan the next days excursion in Florence. So I surpised her with a day-trip to Fattoria La Vialla, because we love the products they produce, and I thought it would be nice to see where the stuff is coming from!
She was surpised to see us driving out of the city and happy when I told her where we are going to.

Finding the location was not that easy, but with navigation I guess it would work better. We had to ask people for the direction and they were very friendly and pointed us to the fattoria. Same close at the destination, when we asked where to park. Very friendly and helpful.

We took a walk on our own, because it was still morning and we discovered wineyards, woods, saw sheep and many other things. Two ours later we visited the restaurant for lunch. It had a very short card, but the food was the best we have had in Italy so far! Simple and delicious!

After lunch we have been asked if we would like to join a guided tour without for free. This was perfect, because we always wanted to know how the products were made we are buying. I will not go into detail, but this guided tour was fantastic! Different language groups, watching people producing food, tasting, ... amazing!

After that we had a coffee, enjoyed the great weather, bought a few things in the shop and left back home with a smile. We can recommend this place as must see in tuscany and further recommend it as a day-trip as well. Simply great!

Unfortunately, we can not say anything about other services offered, like accommodation, etc., because we left in the evening.

If you are planning a trip to the Arezzo region of Tuscany DO NOT MISS a visit to Fattoria La Vialla. What an incredibly beautiful establishment. From the moment you arrive and are greeted in the car park by smiling people ready to transport you up the hill to the heart of the farm. It really is a family affair and everyone involved has such passion and pride in what the are doing. You will enjoy a totally relaxed lunch and will meet the most interesting people from across the world. Chickens happily wander amongst you enjoying a dustbath and any little treats that come their way. You will drink water fresh from the spring which will set you up for a shopping expedition! The range of produce available to buy is astonishing. The bonus was learning that you can shop online and the shipping fees are next to nothing. I'm already making a list.
