We stayed here on the recommendation of local people. The bed was comfortable and we had a great sleep ,the room was cool and beautifully decorated .The owner is also a wonderful artist.
The breakfast was always home made by the family who were also very helpful and friendly.
The house has spectacular views from the terrace .We have no hesitation in recommending to travellers.

Room Tip: All rooms were good

It was a real pleasure to meet you and to give hospitality to you and your lovely wife. For me it was the first time to see a real Scottish Kilt ...
Hope to see you again.
A warm greeting to you and your wife.
God bless you.

My mother and I went on a mother daughter spring break trip to Italy to visit our newly met Italian family. We wanted to have an authentic stay while in the Province of Chieti before heading back to the busy tourist area of Rome. Villa Ciccone was the perfect pick! The owner Anila and her husband Marco were wonderful hosts, cooking dinner for my mom and I after our long journey to Villamagna. The views of Italy from Villa Ciccone are absolutely amazing! I will absolutely be returning to Villa Ciccone on my next trip back to the Chieti area! Anila and Marco were truly welcoming and provided a wonderful assortment of homemade breakfast items each morning of our 3 night stay. The bedroom, bathroom and living area for guests was very clean and beautiful with art work done my Anila. Location is great, only 2 hour drive from Rome. Best experience ever, I will be returning!

Carissima Margo , avervi ospitati per più di una volta e stato davvero un grande piacere. Mi mancate e mi scuso per non avervi risposto in tempo. Un caro saluto da Italia con la speranza di potervi riabbracciare ancora.
best regards

If you want Tuscany without the tourists … then steer clear of the well trodden path and get yourself to Villa Magna, my friend. And do yourself a favour - stay at Villa Ciccone.

Ever since meeting my Brisbane partner and his Abruzzo-born family, this tiny little medieval town with a population that barely scrapes 2000 folk has taken on mythical proportions. In the animated way only the Italians know how to do, I had heard all about the rolling green hills – like no where else on the planet (of course) and the nearby sea so blue - where you can swim in the warmest water like no other place in Europe (of course), but nothing had prepared me for the view from Villa Ciccone.

Located just outside town, this newly built four- guest room (and still growing) palace sits on a ridge and commands an impossibly perfect view of the world. Rooms are spacious and very colourfully decorated by resident artist, Anila, and come with private ensuite showers and washing machine. There’s also a central dining and lounge area for everyone to share. Oh and there’s a cute little dog named Flea (who tends to yap a bit too much at night … so bring the ear plugs).

You can do a lot here at Villa Ciccone, but it’s best to do nothing. Just sit on the balcony and take in the postcard perfect views that sweep along a ridgeline of hills, up past massive mountains, back down to a couple of 15th century medieval towns and all the way to the sea, about 15 minutes drive away.

If you can tear yourself away from the view, take a country walk and pick some figs or apples growing on the side of the road or jump in the car and head up the facing mountain for some authentic Italian food at Mama Rosas (and spot the lights of Villa Ciccone).

Room Tip: Forget public transport systems, you definitely will need a car to get around and perhaps also a recent navigation system as the roads around Villa Magna are like a bowl of spaghetti – tangled! Secondly, take the time out to get to know Anila and her boys and they might just invite you into the family home to try their amazing home-made pasta. This is one Albanese lady who is giving the Italian nonnas a run for their money!
