Cee Cee Barbados is a slice of Paradise. Off the well-worn touristy path but still very accessible to anywhere on the island you wish to go, Cee Cee is a lovely breath of fresh air. The rental apartment is bright, roomy and breezy. Enjoy your morning coffee on the patio overlooking a beautiful private garden, and don’t forget to pick a couple of mangoes from the mango tree for breakfast.
Two stunning beaches are a three-minute walk from Cee Cee’s. The northern beach, Mullins, offers chairs and umbrellas, a place for food and drinks, and lovely swimming in the ocean. The southern beach, Gibbes, is a gem. Seemingly undiscovered, the white sand and the turquoise ocean water invite you to what feels like your own private hideaway. The snorkeling is outstanding at both beaches: each reef has different wonders from colorful fish to octopus to turtles.
Situated between two very accessible towns, Holetown to the south and Speightstown to the north, you can easily get to shopping, groceries and restaurants. Dine out at the delicious local restaurants, or pick up food to BBQ back at Cee Cee‘s and enjoy dinner on the private patio. And of course you can try out the beaches in those towns as well!
Our vacation at Cee Cee’s was perfect. This was our 25th wedding anniversary, and we came with our children to celebrate. We had the best vacation ever. The apartment was comfortable and very clean, and had plenty of room for the four of us.. It was a perfect place to lay our heads every night after each wonderful day. We explored the island by bus and by car, going to Bridgetown and the East Coast and other local sights, but every day we were certain to come back to enjoy Mullins or Gibbes beaches. It was what made every day so perfect.
Sandra, our delightful housekeeper, came every weekday to clean the apartment and do our laundry (a bonus!). Antoine the gardener was charming and kept the garden looking beautiful. And our hostess Charlene treated us like family: always there for suggestions, a little history, and ideas for fantastic things to do. She loves her home and the island, and she shares that love. You may come to Cee Cee as strangers, but you will leave as friends, and have Barbados in your heart forever.
I highly recommend Cee Cee Barbados as the place to stay!
An amazing place to stay, clean, quiet and close to the beach on the Platinum Coast! Will book again.
When one books a vacation there are certain expectations, which vary from person to person. What ever you desire in your trip to Barbados, Cee Cee provides it.
Location is perfect between to beautiful beaches, Gibbes and Mullins, as well as between to lovely towns, Speightstown and Holetown.
Both of these places have shopping to stock the fridge at Cee Cee so you can make a home cooked meal, or restaurants and rum shacks to take the pressure off.
Transportation in either direction is as simple as waving down one of the yellow buses and riding with the Bajans as you listen to local music.
The grounds at Cee Cee are spectacular with 200 year old mango trees dropping fruit, which the local cadre of green monkeys eat with abandon while you sit quietly and sip coffee in morning.
Sandra takes care of your accommodations while Antoine looks after the many jobs in the yard. Both of these people are warm and kind and show you why Barbados is such a delightful place to visit.
The area around Cee Cee is safe and quiet allowing you to achieve the purpose of travelling to paradise, relax and enjoy.
There is nothing else needed when you stay at Cee Cee and my family and I will be returning, hopefully in the near future.
Cee Cees Barbados is a great safe place . The apt. is kept very clean by Sandra the house keeper who will ensure the apt. is kept up to standard and even do your laundry, so you can enjoy your holiday. The place sits back off the road and is private and quiet. The garden is lovely, nice and cool after a day in the sun and makes for a great place to have your morning coffee or tea You will also enjoy the monkeys venturing through at various times of the day and they even stop to eat fruit on the trees which makes for a great photo op. The kitchen has everything you need if you choose to stay in and there is also a barbecue on the back patio for your use. A constant breeze moves through the open doors and windows.
The beachs, Mullins and Gibbes are within a 5 or 10 minute walk in either direction which are not crowded and are amazing. Charlene provides everything you need to spend a longer time at the beach...chairs, towels, coolers. The bus services that whizz up and down the highway make it easy and cheap to access both Speightstown and Holetown where you will find great restaurants all listed in the information Charlene provides. The “crazy” yellow buses were so much fun and will stop at the end of the driveway! They play Caribbean music and are filled with friendly people! A dollar will take you anywhere on the island. There are also blue or city buses which are a little more normal and are the same price.
Charlene is a wonderful host. She has everything covered and offers great tips on what to do and where to go. She also provided us with information on who to call prior to arrival to Barbados for a taxi service to her apartment. I highly recommend booking this apartment for your holiday in Barbados - it is great value, the location is superb and Charlene will ensure a hassle free and memorable stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cee Cee's. The apartment is comfortable, spacious and well-appointed with an excellent covered terrace, perfect for relaxed reading and eating outdoors, and a lovely garden. Sandra, who comes in every weekday morning to clean up, make beds and do the laundry, is delightful and friendly, as is Anton, the gardener, who also comes in in the mornings.
Charlene was extremely helpful prior to our visit, putting us in touch with a taxi service and a car hire service and answering all my questions. There's an excellent information leaflet in the apartment, with details of facilities, shops, restaurants, places to go, etc. which we found really useful.
The only reason I've given this a 4 star, rather than a 5 star rating was down to the slightly disappointing weather - a factor outwith the owners' control. During our stay, the NW coast of Barbados experienced unusually large waves, making it unsafe for bathing in the sea for much of our time there and eroding Gibbes and Mullins beaches of much of their sand. Gibbes was returning to normal (albeit still a bit pebbly) by the end of our stay but the Mullins Beach Bar was so severely damaged that is has had to be closed indefinitely and the watersports and sunbeds were still out of action.
The bus services that whizz up and down the highway make it easy and cheap to access both Speightstown (our favourite) and Holetown without a car but, to see more of the island, I'd definitely recommend hiring a car. Although we spent less time than anticipated on the beach, this was more than compensated for by our sight-seeing trips exploring the island. Particular highlights included Harrison's Cave, St Nicholas Abbey, the view from Cherry Tree Hill, the Flower Cave and the spectacular rocks nearby, and the Foursquare Distillery and Heritage Park. If you like nature and wildlife, I recommend a visit to the Garrison Hall Forest walk and Wildlife Reserve. Aim to be in the Wildlife Reserve for feeding time at 2pm - it's a surreal sight, watching monkeys scrambling with tortoises for the best bits of banana. And don't miss the Arlington House Museum in Speightstown.
For eating out we can recommend Bombas, which is within easy walking distance of the apartment. It overlooks the beach just north of Mullins and, if you get there before sunset, makes a wonderful spot to sip a rum punch whilst watching the sunset, framed by palm trees.
