These fish and chips set me up for my journey back to London. 4 hours on the train. Great service and lovely place to just sit overlooking the sea.

We are local to the area and have been here countless times. The wait has always been worth it. However today, I don't know if it has changed hands, we were quite disappointed by the quality of the chips. Very crunchy and hard, like they had been stood under the hot light for a while. Not the usual fab quality that we are used to. Shame because it was nice that it was open on a Sunday.

Food cooked to order so you have to wait a few minutes but this is fine as the batter & fish were super fresh.

Love that you can do your own salt and vinegar as I am a massive vinegar addict and it is embarrassing to keep asking them to put more on!

Downside.... NO BROWN SAUCE, lol. Maybe this is a midlands thing.

Does what it says on the tin, a good quality seaside chippy, right on the seafront. Wrap up warm, take in the views and enjoy.

I went here with friends a while back and although the food was ok it was a bit weird...we were served our food and went to sit outside to eat our chips. Nothing they can do about a bit of british weather but as it started to drizzle (their outside roof/canopy doesn't seem to work or ever be in use...not sure what the frames for) we noticed the staff were giggling and staring...felt a bit like they were laughing at the poor sad tourists sat eating chips in the rain. We're actually locals and just fancied some local food...you know - supporting local business? Felt a bit odd like we we being laughed at so we eat up quick and left.

We may have got the wrong impression...but what would you make of a bunch of staff staring and laughing? There's nowhere to eat inside and we didn't expect it to start raining, we weren't sure why it was so funny...but that's ok...we'll go somewhere with a roof or indoor seats next time thanks.

Seemed busy and generally they take your order then collect when your numbers called , the food was just wonderful and as they used this sytem , was almost cooked to order .
There is an outdoor picnic bench type area if you want to brave the elements .
Not bad at all
