Love going to JOS. Great team of owners, family based.
Great selection of pizzas, and they do take-away too.
Lovely salads.
Good selection of pasta dishes and some nice desserts.
Very Italian in rural France.

Went for a 'first meal out' of the New Year with a friend from Ruffec.

The menu is quite expansive for a small in town restaurant with a bias towards pizzas and salads (of many choices).
The portions were huge, delicious and very well priced. The service was prompt and cheerful.

Unfortunately the evening went all too quickly as the restaurant closes at 9pm in the winter having opened 7pm leaving just the 2 hrs for what was a very pleasant visit.

The decor is modern and tasteful but the lighting, like a lot of French restaurants locally, could be a little less severe and more welcoming. Nit picking I accept but it is the little things that round off the experience.

Will most definitely be eating there again.

Lovely, clean decor and super thin-crust pizzas. This restaurant seems to do a roaring takeaway trade but the interior of the restaurant is so pleasant with a lovely atmosphere that I would definitely choose to eat in.

Jos is a great little place with very nice Pizzas. They stock a good selection of beer and wine.

The atmosphere is good but as foreign visitors my parents sometimes felt like the locals at the bar are talking about them although I didn't notice this as don't pay much attention to anything not on my plate.

Jos also offer take away pizza which generally goes down well with our friends who visit the area.

We dropped in on a whim, as the restaurant isn't obvious just off the square, and immediately felt at home. Tasteful decor is slightly modern with a nod to traditional French. Liz had the Pizza which was so large she couldn't manage it all and had to get the doggy box. I had the menu du jour which was the best Boef Bourginon ever, so tender it fell apart, with delicious pasta. Huge range of desserts. Very well priced, excellent service from Jonny's mum and with customers including Brits and French. We'll go again for sure.
