We were welcomed on arrival, 6 of us comprising 4 adults and 2 older children. We were shown to our table and given time to choose our meals. My 11 year old grand daughter loved the way she was treated as an adult. The food was delicious and enjoyable and our waiter couldn't have been more attentive.

We'd been working all weekend and just didn't feel like cooking, but also couldn't decide what we wanted to eat out. We jumped on the car and headed out. As we got close to the Viraj, my partners son said, I fancy a curry and Viraj is just up here. There was a space in their new car park and we headed in. For a Sunday night the restaurant and take away were very busy. There was however room for us. We were given time to go over the menu and the drinks we ordered, whist doing this arrived promptly, along with pompadoms and chutneys. We knew what we were going to have for starter, but we were struggling to decide on mains. Our waiter however came to the rescue, with some suggestions and further details, we came to a decision. The starters arrived quickly and without asking, extra plates appeared, so we could share. All were piping hot and delicious. Our dishes were cleared quickly and a hot plate arrived for our mains. Again, we shared these. My partners son had difficulty serving his rice, as he found the bowl too hot, (No complaint from us, it's good to have hot food), the waiter thoughtfully stepped in and dished him up a serving. If you want a good and flavoursome Indian meal, with some good chef specials and knowledgeable staff, then this is the place to come and eat. Yes, it is pricey, but honestly worth every penny.

We got a very warm welcome when we arrived without a booking on a Friday night, the staff were very pleasant and receptive as we have 3 kids, one only 3 years old. The food and service was fantastic, good value for money and would have no problem recommending this restaurant to everyone!

Popped in on a quiet Sunday night in Bodmin as many other places were closed.
Nice Indian with reasonably priced and tasty dishes. It was quite busy for a Sunday evening and they were doing a roaring trade for takeaway.
No complaints.
