Description: Sited perpendicularly to the main Bodmin to Wadebridge Road, we are approximately 2 miles from Bodmin and 5 miles from Wadebridge. Very much the traditional country pub, no loud music, pool or darts we encourage conversation and interaction between customers. Dog friendly in the bar area, we serve food throughout the pub, from the dining room to the easy chairs by the open fireplace and outside on the patio, the orchard and to the benches by the hedge. Besides a full menu we have several Specials Boards and our famous Carvery.

We walked to Borough Arms after a steam train ride because it was advertised at the railway station. After the lovely walk through trees we came to this Pub. We just fancied a small bite to eat as it was around lunch time. We didn't know it was a carvery and didn't expect what a lovely place it was. My dilemma was shall I eat a full carvery or the light bite that we came in for. The atmosphere and the lovely aromas was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered turkey and beef sandwiches and some chips with a pint of beer. The sandwiches were huge and full of fresh carved meat very filling. we have to say one of the best sandwiches we have had ever. The pub was lovely and catered for children and families as for us two we just sat in a cosy corner enjoying the lunch and the beer. Lovely, cant recommend enough.

Great service, friendly staff. The Carvery was ok, but nothing special. Food not that hot and vegetables very basic. Choice of three meats, and you could have a bit of all three. Plenty of parking spaces, and outside areas.

Reviewed this pub whilst on holiday 2 years ago and came back tonight and am delighted to say that the same excellent food and service remains. All staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed, definitely worth a visit

One of the best I've had apart from home. Cornish veg all washed down with Cornish ale. Friendly helpful staff. It was quieter than usual, but it was early evening and most of the tables were reserved. If you're out and about and want fine ales and a good carvery or just a bite you won't be disappointed.

We were looking for a Sunday roast dinner during our camping trip nearby and stumbled across this hidden away pub. What a lovely place! Staff were lovely, helpful and welcoming. We both ordered the carvery and it certainly didn't disappoint - the gammon in particular was exquisite. Would definitely recommend.
