We stayed in Treetops which was comfortably big enough for all of us. Particular highlights were the hot-tub, wood-burning stove and massive, massive tv! The place was really well set up for living, eating and socialising together. We stayed in February and were hugely impressed with how the under-floor heating kept the whole place toasty.
I can't speak for anybody else's bed but mine was very comfortable. There seemed to be room for between 3-4 people, I'm not sure why... The place is absolutely silent at night and there is no light pollution, so you get a really good nights sleep.
All the kids loved the feed-run and farmers Nick, Fiona and Amber. There were loads of interesting animals to see/feed. The alpaca, Jacobs lamb and deer were especially popular. Collecting the eggs was the competitive event of the day, the sprogs could get quite heated during this.
The only thing I would say about treetops is that there is no door between the lounge/diner and the front hall, or the front hall and the utility room. Again, pretty easy for us as the springerdoodle can't really reach the sofa, harder for a bigger dog if they are not used to such a strict routine!
Handy tip 1. there is a basic shop in the reception that does emergency odds and ends in case you run late and miss the shops on the way down.
Handy tip 2. check your arrival time. We were late and I think Farmer Fiona suspected that we had driven into a hedge or something because we didn't think to ring...More
