This is a very comfortable and well-equipped cottage, set in the small North Yorkshire Village of Cropton, on the southern boundary of the North Yorkshire Moors. Cropton has an excellent pub, complete with its own attached brewery, that serves excellent food and drinks.
The cottage has wi-fi, though signal strength is weak in the lounge but excellent in the kitchen where the router is sited.
On arrival at the cottage we were greeted by Stephen and Ruth, the owners, who provided a welcome tray of tea and delicious cakes.
The lounge has comfortable seating for 5 people and a free-view television. There is also a small stock of DVDs and books.
The kitchen is very large and well equipped with plenty of pots, pans, crockery etc., and also has a fridge, a freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher. There is a second (smaller) television in the kitchen.
Both bedrooms (one twin, one double) are very comfortable, as are the beds, with plenty of hangers/hanging space. The twin room also has a cot in it.
Wash hand basins are fitted in both bedrooms - a very useful facility - and the bathroom has an over-the-bath shower.
The cottage is almost completely carpeted throughout and the heating system is very efficient.
Within 20 miles or so there is an enormous number of attractions and towns to visit, whilst Pickering, 4 miles away, is well provided with shops/supermarkets.
