Situated in a quiet cobbled lane within the old walled town this cottage occupies a prime spot just one minute walk from the beach. In the other direction it is just two minutes to the main shopping area and five minutes to the harbour. The cottage is a good size for 4 and has a nice new shower room and kitchen. The walls are thick and windows double glazed so it is very quiet. Parking outside is available but very limited. We parked in the multi story just outside the old town walls - about five minutes walk. It cost £6 for the whole week (Feb half term) but costs more in the summer. There is also a Sainsburys attached to this car park which has everything you would expect. Our favourite places to eat were the Bucanneer and the Hope and Anchor, both only a minute or so walk from the cottage. We also ate in - the kitchen is well equipped to cook for 4 except no dishwasher. There is a large utility/conservatory at the back which is great for drying off wet beach gear etc. The main bedroom is huge, has a comfy king bed and sea view. Bedroom 2 is bunks ideal for kids up to teen. There is a sofa bed in the lounge as well though we did not use this. Good wifi and warm gas fire/storage heaters throughout. A charming place to stay in the best possible location. Great comms from the owner too.
My hubby, dog and myself stayed here for a mid week break, the location was excellent for the town and the beach. The little cottage was warm and had everything we required. We had a fabulous time. The main bedroom was fantastic, the bed was super comfi, and looked out to the sea, when the window was opened a little at night all we could hear were the waves crashing in....wonderful, . There was broadband at the cottage and the shops, pubs, and restuarants are 3 minutes walk away. The beach can be reached several ways, however, out side the cottage you can go down a lot of steps and you are on the most wonderful beaches..but there are ramps closer to town where you can get to the beach..our wee dog loved it...at this time of year the dogs were running all over the place, of course in the summer months dogs are not allowed. The shops and cafes and pubs and hotels are all dog friendly which is a great bonus. There was even a fab chip shop which allowed our wee dog. Brilliant....I would go back and stay again in a heartbeat. The owner was in contact in case of problems, but everything was perfect. This cottage is ideal for couples or with a young family as the second bedroom has lovely comfortable bunk beds. Lovely for dog lovers like ourselfes. However I know my grandchildren would have loved the close proximity to the georgous beaches. Tenby is a beautiful seaside town and this little cottage is ideal in a perfect location. I would thoroughly recommend.
