We stayed at the flat from march 28th till march 31st and I have to say there was milk available in the fridge when we arrived. Sent the boys out for some shopping at tesco's about 10mins away and we had the essentials. The flat was clean and very comfortable cannot say a bad word the beds were made and all clean bedding. You could tell that the flat had been redecorated and smelt clean. The smell that the other review mentioned was not there you have to remember these houses have been there for a number of years. We had my little girl as well who is 3 and she loved the children's books that were in the bookcase and also there were bluerays available. The location was perfect for the beach and the town we went to folly farm and we didn't have a car so we booked with dens taxis and it was £15 each way between three of us was nothing. Really enjoyed my stay here and have recommended it to my family and friends. Thank you
Upon arrival after a four hour train journey there were none of the usual tea bags, sugar etc.. for a quick reviving drink that you usually get when self catering. The double bedroom smelt of damp and the duvet had a hole in it. The mattresses were saggy and the place itself could do with a paint job and a good clean. The hallway to the flat was also very smelly and if there are people staying in the flat above it is very noisy. The only decent enough room was the living room which does have a nice view of Caldey island. The location itself is very good so it was really disappointing that after a long days sight seeing we did not want to be in the place too long and so went back out again! If done up this place would be well worth the money you have to pay, as it is I feel cheated.
