We saw most of the animals at close range, all looked well and healthy. However the park needs attention and some areas refurbished.
The cafe which used to be good, however this time it was expensive, not a lot of choice. We had a baked potato with cheese and salad with coleslaw. The potato was cold, so cheese did not melt, the coleslaw was good but minuscule and the salad looked as though it had been drag through the kitchen floor. A small square of butter was 15p. I this the management needs to look into the catering. Overall things need to improve.

We wanted to visit a zoo while in Scotland and picked this one, and well worth the money and time!
Lots of different animals on offer to see from you’re average zoo, they also seem to be enjoying it as well, big enclosures and natural environments. Enjoyed the panda with her cub, deer, bison, wildcats and many more
The drive round safari worked well (you can do it multiple times) with lots on offer and they don’t tend to hide and do run across the road in front of you!
Nice cafe, plenty of facilities.

The Highland Wildlife Park was a stop on our way to Ullapool to catch the ferry to Stornoway. The drive around area is good with bison, male polar bears and deer the main attractions. The walking section has snow leopards, tigers, wild cats and monkeys as highlights. There is a zip wire and a play area for children. I did most of the walking section while 6 months pregnant and it wasn’t too far. The female polar bear and cub are quite a distance from the viewing platform so take binoculars. Entrance fee was £40 for our family of 3 but the animals look so well cared for we didn’t mind this price. Toilets are at the main car park and further around the park-handy. A great place to stop on your way north. We had around 2 hours there but you could easily spend more time there. We didn’t use cafe or shop but both looked nice.

I visited the park as part of a group of 11 family members - which meant we got in for a reduced fee - which makes it an even better value day out. The weather wasn’t brilliant but that really doesn’t spoil the enjoyment of a day spent in the park. We had gone to see the, at that stage unnamed, baby polar bear and we were thrilled to get a sight of him. He was a distant white blob seen against his mucky Mum. My son in law got a really cute video of him much closer than I saw, but nevertheless we all loved being as close as we got to him. The wolves, male polar bears, red pandas, snow leopards, tigers and lynx all gave us great shows. The keepers were full of information and very happy to share it. I’d highly recommend a visit to anyone.

Absolutely amazing wildlife park. Set in a superb location with fantastic scenery around. Saw lots of beautiful but sadly endangered animals. We were also lucky to see Hamish the new polar bear cub swimming.
Great facilities, food and drink on site was great. Definitely plan to go back.
