Greyhound canceled the second leg of the trip I booked from Minneapolis to Indianapolis. Stuck in the Chicago station during business hours and staff refused to help rebook or refund saying we had to use the app or website to book another bus. The app and website was unavailable and I was unable to use it. Had to call a friend to book the second leg of the trip so I wasn't stuck for 24 hours in Chicago. After the trip, my first attempt to get a refund, by multiple emails back and forth, they said that the trip did not qualify for a refund. On my second attempt, after multiple emails, got approved for refund for the trip they canceled. Then they said they would send me a check in 2 weeks because I paid with cash. I did not, I booked the trip from their app using my credit card. Also, the only way to request a refund was by filling out a form on the website. After giving them detailed information about the trip, they sent an email requesting the same information again. Greyhound has the worst customer service.
Bus 86022 from Oklahoma City to Dallas. This driver was very angry and super grumpy the entire trip. He told us in Ardmore OK we had 5 min. Well the bathroom on the bus is not usable, a man got off to use the toilet, he was literally 2 seconds late, so were thre others. He drove off. All of us were yelling please stop for them. The bus was late picking us up in Oklahoma City anyway. So the bus driver was being angry because we're late. So he decides to call the police cuz he wouldn't let this one guy get back on. He let the other three get on, but he wouldn't let the one guy. All of us were asking him to please stop being the way he was, this poor man couldn't get back on the bus. It was almost a riot on this bus It's so hot on here that everybody's soaking wet the bus driver's nice and cool though it's nice and cool in the front of the bus, where the bes driver is. It has been almost 50 years since I've taken a bus ride. And I will never do it again. It is filthy dirty Cesspool on here doesn't look like it has been cleaned in weeks.
The first bus arrived an hour later than it was supposed to, meaning a few of us missed our connecting buses. The Charlotte office employees kept repeating to call customer service, and when we did (via email because they on have a hotline), they simply told us all we could do was wait a whole 24 hours for the next one (this is at 0300, mind you). The customer service analyst was also quick to also point out that despite leaving us stranded for 24h, Greyhound was not liable for my wasted day or anything I needed while waiting due to their blunder.
Awful customer service and reservations team. Spoke to supervisor Rex employee id 3607956 about why Grey hound is charging me twice to change my bus from Sunday to a Monday. Rex was extremely rude and kept interrupting me to try and shut the call. He either was having a really bad day or is a part of the body where the sun don’t shine!
The WORST travel experience! I am only 1/2 thru my 36 hour trip and I have seen too much! Every single employee I have seen or had any contact with has been rude, impatient, even yelling at passengers and there is a definite issue with discrimination at the Memphis station. When we got here a man got on the bus (at 2:00) yelling that we all had to get off the bus immediately for it to be cleaned. Some of us had to wake up and get kids ready and he was just plain RUDE! When I asked a lady how long until we could deviate she made a face at me like something stunk and just said “well call you and you have to be in line”. Some people that speak limited English were degraded and spoken some too. Definitely NOT an experience I want to repeat.
The worst buses you will ever travel on A/C didn’t work we all were sweating so bad it took a extra hour to get to my destination and they have terrible customer service.
